The property is located in beautiful Summers county West Virginia. It is 63.55 acres of pristine wooded land nestled in the mountains along the Greenbriar River. I offer guided river trips in kayaks, canoes, or on tubes, as well as guided nature walks through the many miles of trails here on the property. We are relatively easy to find just a few minutes south of Alderson West Virginia. We currently only offer primitive camping with no electrical or running water although there is an outhouse on the property available to campers. While in the area, don’t miss strolling the charming streets of downtown Lewisburg. For fine dining and upscale cuisine, stop by The French Goat or Stardust Cafe. For a more casual meal, be sure to check out The Asylum and The Wild Bean. Swing by Briergarten for some of the best local brews as well as European favorites. Greenbrier Valley Brewing Company proudly serves up award-winning, hand-crafted West Virginia beers. Catch a live performance at Carnegie Hall or watch a flick on the big screen at the Lewis Theatre, an old-time theater from the 1930s. The Greenbrier Valley Theatre also boasts live theatrical performances, musical concerts, literary events, art exhibits and more throughout the year.

We loved tent camping on Mitchell’s land. It was spacious, he had a tire swing set up, and he went above and beyond to accommodate us. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. And he anticipated the type of questions we would have. We had a great time.

We absolutely loved camping on Mitchell’s land! It was a great area, great host, great environment. No complaints at all. Host went above and beyond. Our dog loved the site, plenty of space to run around on a lead line. Beautiful views all around. Definitely will be returning.

Tent Camping Friends Trip

Our group had an amazing time tent camping on Mitchell's property! It was incredibly private; we had SO much room for yard games and setting up shop for the weekend. It's perfect in that it's a short drive to town for any extra ice, wood, etc., but feels like you are deep in the woods. Mitchell was a great communicator the entire process. I had asked questions about the proximity of an outhouse and if the property had ticks..he promptly assured me he treated the site for ticks and when we arrived on site he had brought a porta-potty! He frequently checked in to see if we needed anything or had enough wood, gave us lots of suggestions on things to do in the area both outdoors and on a rainy day. The highlight of our weekend? He had kayaks and a conoe available for our group of 6 and my doggo! He and his family shuttled them upstream and they paddled down the river with us, showing us nice spots to pull off to and chatting about the area. We then ended right across the road from the drive up to the campsite and walked right back to our spot! Very convenient - you may have to climb a hillside to get in and out of the river, but no biggie. You are able to hike his trails on the property, but we didn't go too far on those since the grass got a bit tall in spots and we were worried about ticks. Mitch was incredibly attentive and considerate - even invited us to escape rain at his buddy's place. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who wants a private car camping experience!
