We can not say enough about Robin and her place. It’s private and quiet. She welcomed us warmly with a print out of tides, things to do and general information about the area. We had one day of sun and one day of a storm with 50 mile an hour winds. The storm was amazing to watch tucked into our side of the property. Close to parks, hikes and Bellingham. For people with small children there is a playground just a few houses away. Bring boots or old shoes for low tide. This is by far one of the best places, and hosts, we have had while hip camping. We will be back often this fall and winter."This serene waterfront setting provides views of the San Juan Islands yet only minutes away from downtown Bellingham Enjoy the best views from your private campsite complete with a picnic table and relaxing adirondack chairs to end the day watching the sunset Easy access to the water for your kayak or canoe! Relaxing, quiet and private. This little side yard to a home on the end of a road provides a scenic waterfront view. The tide goes way out, but the flats were fairly soft and mucky so walking on the beach wasn’t in the cards but the bird watching and view were great. The host Robin was friendly and responsive. We live locally and were looking for a quick 2 night, close home getaway and this spot was just right!

This was our first HipCamp experience. Our RV door opened up on such a beautiful view! Robin was a delightful host! We cycled up to Hovander Homestead Park and up to Birch Bay. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Robin & The Robin’s Nest!

Camping in a backyard

We don’t understand at this was a backyard camping. It was in a garden in a neighborhood. It was an amazing view specially when the water is high.
It is a calm neighborhood so that was good.

Beautiful view. No problem parking to block out residential neighborhood. Very private. Was a wonderful respite from mass RV parking. Would return! Met Robin’s son, Jansen, a friendly young man. 10/10. Thank you! 💕
