Property is a 5-acre gated horse farm surrounded by wooded military property on 3 sides. Conveniently located 15-20 minutes from Tacoma and Olympia. Just 5 mins to Starbucks/coffee and grocery stores but far enough away from the city so it feels more secluded. American Lake and Spanaway Lake (and their parks with playgrounds) for swimming and paddle boarding are both just 5 mins away! The owner lives on site, as well as several horses, chickens, and a dog. Large stone fire pit with chairs near house is available for camper use. Pending: Paddle board rental and bicycles for use on property or trails! Set-up your tent anywhere within the horse paddocks - there are no specific sites, although there is a small fire pit and rustic bench seating at far back corner of property. Tents can be outside of horse areas as well, if preferred. RV dry camping anywhere within or outside horse areas. For RVs needing dedicated electrical/water hookup, there are specific sites closer to the house. ***If you are travelling with more than one vehicle, please purchase an car extra parking spot.*** Only four 30amp RV spots are available and are most easily accessible for Rvs under 30'. Standard 110volt outlets can also be available for RV use. Woodbrook Hunt Club, the oldest fox hunting club west of the Mississippi, is a neighbor so lots of horseback riding goes on in the neighborhood. (Dragged scent only, no live foxes are harmed.) Private horseback riding lessons or guided trail rides available by reservation only, subject to weather and owner availability. Use of military trails adjacent to property for hiking and bike riding subject to open land usage and permitting by military base. Happy HipCamping! 😊Immediate availability for long-term RV parking. Dedicated 30amp electric and water. Can dump grey water here, but no black water. Discount for 30 days or longer. 5-15 mins to all major hospitals. Pitch your tent in the horse pasture close to the trails, or near the house/barn for convenience.  Dry RV parking in pastures or close to house on level grass or gravel with access to electricity and water. Please see map at end of picture album for 30amp electrical availability. Max 35’ RV preferred to allow maneuvering space. Property is a 5-acre horse ranch surrounded by military trails.  Just 2 miles from beautiful American Lake, I5 freeway, Spanaway golf, etc. 15-25 mins from downtown Tacoma and Olympia.  Conveniently located - (5 mins to Starbucks and grocery store) but far enough away from the city.  If you’re tent camping and have an emergency, the bathroom located inside my home is available on case-by-case basis if I’m home to unlock the door. No large groups in and out of my house please! **Guests are considered those over 18 so 2-adult limit per reservation please.  Also, please limit children camping to your own children for liability and safety around horses... (Don't bring the entire classroom with just two adults to supervise!)** Horses available for guided trail rides at $80hr/person. Please book riding directly through me as I can’t guarantee availability if booked on website. Horses are usually booked a few weeks to a month out. Unfortunately, I am not always available to accommodate last minute trail rides, but feel free to inquire! Children inexperienced with riding will be required to have a horse riding lesson in the pasture instead of out on the trail for safety purposes. 200lb weight limit. I can only accommodate 2 riders at a time for safety but additional people are welcome to come on foot or bikes.    WiFi is available close to the house (working on exterior extenders) but not far out in horse pastures. Happy HipCamping! 😊

Horse Farm open for RVs and tents!
Bethanne’s spot is perfect! It was close to town and Mt Rainer. On top of that you get to see the amazing horses and chickens roaming the grounds. But my fave is Ryder her dog. He was a great host he checked on me every morning ❤️. Bethanne was also super nice! We will be back when we return next year.

This was a great spot to park our trailer while visiting with family and attending events in Tacoma. The location was great as it was close to i5, and safe. Horses were friendly too! We will be back!

Horse Farm open for RVs and tents!
Bethanne’s place was great! My 4 year old loved getting to visit all of the horses & feed them carrots. Bethanne told us we could set up anywhere, including the corral without a horse if we didn’t want to be around the horses all night. She was super friendly & inviting without intruding at all & our camp in the back of a corral felt very private. Didn’t have time to use the firepit by the house but it was very cute with nice chairs set up. Porta potty was clean & unstinky! Other reviews were spot on about the 10 pm & 7 am music from the military base behind the property but we knew about that ahead of time & it wasn’t an issue. Didn’t even notice road noise & I’m a super light sleeper. Would definitely visit again!

Camping
we don’t liked the place. there was no table, the toilet was dirty and we had no water because the pipe was used from another camper.
