After searching far and wide I found this gem of a private property. It offers well established second growth forest with all native undergrowth and vegetation. I'm living the dream of a sustainably based practice for a homestead.  Thriving Pacific NW coastal forest canopy of Fir, Cedar, Hemlock, and Alder, with native undergrowth of salmon berry, huckleberry, wild blackberry, nettle, fern, moss, mushrooms and more. Beautiful hiking trails lead you to a private, unobstructed view of nature. Enjoy the fresh mountain air in the lush forest. Bring out your inner child on the rope swing!   A ferry ride away from Seattle to paradise! Located on Whidbey Island just 12 minutes from quaint downtown Langley with great restaurants, local artisans and farmers for farm to table meals fireside! The world is your oyster...literally! The best oysters in the US are farmed in Penn Cove 40 minutes away. Crabbing, clamming, and fishing, are also at your fingertips. The Langley boat dock is your launching pad to a great day. Whale watching and  kayaking are a must do!  Mother Nature gave all she had to this little island. The world has never been more beautiful than right here, right now. Come experience TerraSoLuna!

This was by far one of the most pleasant experiences we had. It felt like a happy medium between backpacking and camping. The communication with the host was very good we received the directions that we needed. There is a bit of a walk to get to the campsite, and we are fairly fit, it may be a problem for people who just want to park their car next to where they pitch the tent. The fire set up was wonderful, we had the best fire experience, the wood was great nothing like you get in the store. And it was very quiet at night, as the site is deep in the woods. I recommend.

Cute cabin that was easy to find!
I loved staying at the Mini Mint! I enjoyed the size of the cabin, the fire pit set up, and especially how easy it was to find even in the dark. Definitely would return again! However, it would have been nice to have a lock on the door.

Lovely cabin in the trees

We had a great time and the cabin was just what we needed. The trees all around are beautiful and the cabin is very secluded and peaceful.

Camping on the bus was an awesome experience! Really cool dwelling tucked away in the trees, quiet and peaceful. Just the right amount of essentials and close enough to town if you need anything else. We really enjoyed the wood burning stove. Will definitely be back in the future!

Peaceful forested retreat
With kids ·
Place was great! Brandon had just opened up the schoolie rental and upgraded us to the bus as it was open! Perfect location just a few minutes from Langley and nestled in a forested spot with birds singing and berries everywhere! Having hot water and a composting toilet was amazing! Being in town on a summer weekend with the vacationing crowds - it was great to have a peaceful spot to go back to! Would stay again!

Overall a good place to camp.
Tent · With pets ·
Overall a nice place to camp. The site was not *too* far from the car, but was up a relatively steep incline part of the way. I would have packed differently (ie no cooler) if I had known about the incline. The mosquitos were not messing around! Definitely bring some bug prevention. Lots of firewood around! Unfortunately, the directions were texted to me the day of from a weird email address and ended up in my Spam, and there were no host directions given on the Hipcamp listing after booking, so we drove around for a while on the wrong road. But, the host called back within 5 mins of my calling the number listed. The site is not big enough for 2 tents without being right up against the firepit, but is big enough for a 4-6 person tent.
