A sweet rustic retreat in the heart of the Cascades. This charming historic home is tucked away on a private, shady lot filled with lilac and fruit trees. You are just steps from hiking and mountain biking trails, and a short drive or bike ride to beautiful Lake Cle Elum, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, and the historic town of Roslyn. This is an historic home and private yard that feels like a hideaway and a portal to a quieter time and is also a great jumping off place for any kind of outdoor adventure. You can choose to sleep in the house or set up your tent in the shady yard, or both. Maximum capacity in the house is 2 people. Maximum capacity for the property is six people total. The driveway will accommodate one vehicle/van/camper and there is additional street parking. The house offers one bathroom and one queen bed, a small, supplied, kitchen, and a living room with a TV and DVD player for those stay-inside times. We do not have WiFi, but there is cellular reception through most providers. Because of the delicate nature of the 120-year-old house and heirloom-plant-filled yard, we do not accept pets. (We do love them, though!)Rustic in Ronald is a combination of a quiet, shady lot and a small but charming historic home. You will have the entire property and house to yourself and can camp in the yard or sleep in the house ( up to two people in the house) and enjoy the yard and surrounding area during the day. We are steps away from the Coal Mine Trail and a network of hiking and mountain-biking trails and only a few miles from Lake Cle Elum and the historic town of Roslyn. There is space for one vehicle/camper/van in the yard, and additional street parking along the property.

Wonderful historic home
Beautiful home full of historical charm. We enjoyed the front porch while the storm rolled through the area. The mature fruit trees provided us breakfast and enough cover we felt "tucked away" from the street and any neighbors. We couldn't have asked for a nicer host. She heard we were in town for a wedding and brought over a full length mirror and a makeup mirror to help with the pre-wedding preening. The home has its 100 year old charm mixed with some modern-day amenities. We will definitely be coming back.

Carol’s property was perfect for my time in the mountains. It had everything I needed for a relaxing trip. The dvd selection was on point. I would for sure stay here again if I’m in the area:)

Funky, yet functional and cozy!
We enjoyed our stay. Doors and floors a little wonky, but great location and charming place, with fruit trees in yard and regular deer visits. We also had a very helpful and friendly host. We recommend.

Great little historic cottage right outside of Roslyn, very easy walk to the Coal Miner's Trail so you can walk into Roslyn proper if that's what you came for. Was lovely to sit on the porch and watch the birds in the fruit trees. Carol's daughter Shannon was super nice and helpful.

This is the perfect spot if you’re looking for a cozy, charming, private, and historic place to stay in the area. Shannon was communicative and responsive. We enjoyed biking and hiking around the area and spent our evenings in nearby Roslyn. There’s so much to explore, and we’ll definitely come back and stay in the Rustic in Ronald cottage soon!
