The property is a flat beachfront with 200ft Columbia river frontage located on Puget Island in Cathlamet, Washington with panoramic views. 30 or 50 amp hookups. Campers can enjoy private access to beach and privacy during their stay. The island was named for Peter Puget, a lieutenant in the Vancouver Expedition of exploration, which first mapped the island in 1792. Puget Island's Robert W. Little Preserve is home to a population of endangered Columbian white-tailed deer. You can walk the beach, kayak the Columbia River, or ride bikes on miles of flat Puget Island roads. There's also hiking, swimming in the Columbia on our beach, fishing, wild life viewing that entails many bird species (hawks, eagles, white tail deer). Long Beach on the Pacific ocean is 1 hour away. During your stay, you'll even see ships cruise by very closely. The property has easily accessible no matter the size of your RV and there's plenty of room to park multiple vehicles. Loved this spot. Beautiful views, fun watching the ships go by, good sized site with a relaxed a private feel. Randy is very nice, and helpful. We will be back!

Unique river spot
This little spot is one of a kind. One single unit off of a quiet road on a precious island. The view of the Columbia river, wildlife and the huge ships that quietly rolled by. Definitely worth a visit!

Unique Adventure
We truly enjoyed our stay. As a host, Randy was welcoming and helpful. The campsite was clean and it was an extremely quiet spot- no air or road noise at all. Occasionally an enormous ship would go by which was quite an amazing sight. Puget Island is charming- canals, farms and ranches, a very friendly place with people waving as they drove by. We walked on the little ferry to Oregon, which was a treat. Highly recommended as a getaway!

This site along the Columbia River was exactly what we were hoping it would be. We craved quiet, a view of the water and got lots of bonuses - a mostly private and soft sandy camp site, easy private beach access, coolish breezes off the river on the 80+° days, passing container and cargo ships to watch, some shifting shade and a big fire pit. The Mile 38 Brewery in Cathlamet is a must for sunset watching and a beer or two served by friendly staff.

RC ISLAND
Awesome, private location on the Columbia River with view of the marine traffic passing through. Bicycling around the island is spectacular, flat and virtually no cars on the road. Truly a serene place.
