Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Just 22 minutes from Portland International Airport, your next campsite sits in a rural area, surrounded by trees, near the Washougal River recreation area and the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
We provide free high-speed Internet wifi, a chiminea (clay fire pit - including firewood), an extension cord for electricity, and a fully enclosed chain link dog run / kennel at your campsite, ready for your pups!
Within an hour or two, you’ll enjoy downtown Portland, Mt St Helens, the waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge, and the wind, water, snow, mountain biking sports plus the wineries and breweries of Hood River, Oregon and Mount Hood.
We love to travel and camp with our dogs, and have found the HipCamp community to be so welcoming and convenient when camping.
We look forward to hosting you soon!Welcome to our PDX Hideout!
We offer a safe, clean, pet-friendly campsite, with free wifi and electricity.
We are in a quiet rural area, ten minutes (4 miles) from everything you need in the vibrant, charming little town of Camas, just 8.8 miles from the Portland airport.
Your campsite is a level grass lawn (45’ x 30’), partly shaded by large evergreen trees.
The parking spot (45’ x 15’) immediately beside your campsite is the west side of our second (shop) asphalt driveway.
We also provide high speed internet, a picnic table, a chiminea (clay fire pit - firewood included) and a 15 amp 120 volt power cord to the red post beside the driveway.
To make sure your dogs are safe and comfortable, we have a solid chain link fenced dog run (15' long, 5' wide, 6' tall) at your campsite. Your pups are totally welcome to hang out inside or out - so long as they’re on a lead or leash when outdoors, they don’t bark repeatedly, and you clean up their waste.
We do not have a restroom or portapotty on site - you must bring your own toilet facilities, fresh water, etc.
Propane fire pits and camp stoves are welcome - please keep them along the edge of the asphalt driveway - as far away from the evergreen trees as possible. Wood fires are only allowed within the confines of the clay chiminea.
Please note that we only allow fully self-contained campers.
We look forward to hosting you!
