North Wind House - Willow Cabin
Great hipcamp!
This is an awesome and unique spot! We loved the rustic and cozy little cabin and the silence. Reg put so much love and attention to detail in his property and it was a privilege to experience this peaceful spot. I particularly enjoyed the shower and the bbq.

Great place but campsite not for me
Host was really friendly. He showed us around when we arrived and he was present whenever we needed something. The grotto was beautiful and refreshing. We liked how private it is too. There was fresh water provided in the standalone kitchen. Huge field for our dog to play. However, I’d not recommend this spot for camping. We were sleeping right next to a very busy road and a lumber company. The road noise and lights from cars kept up awake throughout the night. Construction from the lumber company started at 6am and we heard chainsaw and tree being chopped down. Our guess is the road must have been a through road for semi trucks carrying lumber. The yard of our house in the city is honestly quieter. I’ve camped my entire life and I’ve never experienced this. I’m sure the cabins would be great and it is very obvious the host has put a lot of efforts into setting up the properties. Just be prepared if you want to camp here.

North Wind House - Garden Cabin
What an incredible piece of property and wonderful individuals residing on it! We had an amazing weekend exploring the land, swimming in the river, and sleeping really well in the comfortable cabin set up. I only wish we had had more time!

Beautiful stay!
I spent 2 nights just me and my dog and had the best time. My favourite part was evenings on the porch looking out at the sunset reflected on the mountain and then the stars at night. A couple things that would be good to note that weren’t apparent to me when I booked: the cabin would be tight for more than 1 or maybe a couple (it just fits a double bed and a little room for your bags), and the kitchen and bathroom are in separate buildings (both clean and well stocked). That was a surprise to me but I did not have an issue with it. Reg is wonderful and the guests I met were friendly as well. The river spot is perfect for a cold dip. The trail leading up the property to an old logging road is a nice walk. It is was a peaceful getaway and I would definitely recommend it.
