Stunning campsite in the orchard.
6 m campervan · Group trip
Joseph was a great host - very responsive. The campsite is stunning, next to and also within an apple orchard. There are expansive views of the West end of the upper Yakima Valley around Naches and Tieton. On offer is a nice flat concrete pad to make meals on, and have a campfire, hang out etc. In late May of 2024 this was a windy site, and sometimes we were driven into our camper vans to get out of the maelstrom. I'm sure at other times of year this is not such an issue.

Great!
Tent · With pets
I was there with two kids and a dog. We biked through the orchard, got to meet cows, and because of the location felt private and had sweeping views. It was close enough to town that every morning we went out for bagels and coffee. It is also centrally located, so we were able to go on different hikes in the region. Our puppy did well with the farm dogs (who were well trained). We also had great conversations with the hosts, and kids learned a lot about farming. There are no toilets, so we stopped by an outdoor store in Yakima, and got a camp toilet for less than $20. It was a new experience for us, but it was easy to overcome.

Joseph's Fantastic Farm
9 m travel trailer
Joseph's farm was fantastic! We were greeted on arrival by his business partner, Gary, who was more than kind and helpful. He also gifted us a bottle of sparkling apple cider! What a treat. The site was on a slight rise w/sweeping panoramic views of the surrounding farms and hills. It felt very private and secure, yet was close enough to Tieton, Naches and Yakima that we could get to a grocery or hardware store as needed. Also very close to a lot of hiking trails. It's a working farm and we arrived in full apple-picking season. It was fascinating to watch the trucks pull in and out, loading the huge boxes of apples. Gary also invited us to pick some apples to take home with us. The site was very quiet at night and Gary checked in with us midway through our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. So thoughtful. We really couldn't have been happier here and will definitely come back.

Awesome and cozy farm! We camped under the beautiful stars surrounded by orchards. Owners are super friendly and communicative, very easy to find. View was great too, can see the mountains/ridges. Perfect for stargazing!
