Over 100 years ago, this property was logged of all of it's old growth conifers. Well, things have been growing here ever since. There are many old growth stumps dotted around the property; many acting as "nurse or Mother logs" to new growth. We have been here for 30 years & have select logged keeping the integrity of the property in tact. These trees know they are loved and honored. They are happy & it shows. You feel the vibe a soon as you drive up. Since then we have blazed trails & carved out campsites & campgrounds throughout. All of them resembling nature's little carved out "rooms." We have enjoyed this property for these past 33 years. We have shared it with family & friends time & time again. There is so much love & positive energy breathing within these boundaries. I have been very fortunate to have been able to share this place. Now, thanks to Hipcamp, I can share it with you & your family & friends. Let Mother Earth's Pocket host your next family camping trip. Looking forward to it. We'll leave the light on for y'all!!Most of these sites are in secluded woods with a few having fire pits that can be used when there is not a burn ban. This is a property that we have developed over the past 35 years by select logging, clearing trails & grooming several really nice cozy & magical campsites. There are meadows & woods. You will be camping in & among nicely matured Fir, Cedar, Hemlock, Maple & Alder woods. There are some very secluded spots. They are all moderately secluded, in the respect that they are all like separate woodland rooms, so to speak. They all connect with foot trails. Some wide enough for a vehicle. You may drive your gear to the site, then park it down in the field if you feel you need the space, although camping with your vehicle on site is perfectly fine. These are raw woods, dirt & grassy undulating trails, so care & caution should be taken while walking or driving through. Some spots accommodate 4 folks while others accommodate 10-12. You can't see the road except from one particular site. And still, it is a secluded site. You can see my home from a few of them.  We have had many years of joy & love here at this awesome property as we have shared it & hosted our family & friends for festivals, weddings, Birthdays, reunions, swap meets, Corporate & more. There are a lot of positive vibes & happy energy here & you can feel it as soon as you arrive.   We have SaniCans & there is a water source in the driveway, "our" hose. Our water is through a local water association. It is potable & delicious. We may be able to provide electricity, but only to a few sites. We can always work something out, especially if you need to sleep with a C-pap. The property is located in an area called 7 lakes. RIGHTY'O! There are seven local lakes. You can launch your boat, your wave runners, your paddle boards or your inner tubes. We are located minutes from Lake Goodwin, a very large lake you can take motor boats on. Enter the lake through Wenberg County Park public boat launch about 2 miles from here. The others only allow electric trolling motors, row boats, dinghies & kayaks. Wenberg is also a nice place to bring kids swimming & picnic. So bring your gear & enjoy the water sports. There is also Jetty Island less than 20 miles from here where enthusiasts enjoy hours of parasailing at high tides. It is an amazing spot for this sport. So tow your boat along so you can access Jetty Island at your leisure since the ferry's last ride out to the island is 7:45pm, Last ferry back is 8:15pm. The Jetty Island Ferry is free & is located at the public boat launch off of Marine Drive in Everett. You can also go swimming with the kiddos. Bring a packed lunch & enjoy the sandy beach. The first ferry leaves at 10am. Be early Let's not leave out the close proximity of the Stillaguamish River for fishing & inner tubing or swimming. Also Walker Valley Off Road Vehicle Park is located approximately 25 miles north of here. They offer mountain biking, nature trips, bird watching & of course off road vehicle excitement. There is everything from Burgers, Pubs, Pizza, Subs, Thai, Greek, Italian cuisine & fine dining in the area. We are minutes from Kayak Point Park & Kayak Point Disc Golf Course. There are farms & organic vegetable sales, Farmer's Markets & Nurseries. Not to mention several casinos are also located just 10 minutes away & they offer an awesome nightlife. Smokey Point & all the Big Box stores are 10 minutes away as well. Also, we are 10 minutes from I5 as well.  There really is so much to do around here, you may want to stay for 2 weeks!! You will be camping in a rurally zoned property that is completely secluded. Unfortunately there are only 2 RV spots available. Most sites can accommodate a camper van or pick up with camper. All must be self contained. We absolutely love this land we live on. We completely respect it, it's sacredness & it's magic. We want to share it with others. We expect the same level of respect we have always had for it. Everything you pack in, you MUST pack out. We ask the you "Leave Only Your Footprints!!"   Soooo, if you feel the need to Whoop it up around the campfire in an awesome private campground in the woods with your friends & family...... Or a quiet personal retreat, Kindly give Mother Earth's Pocket a go. Namaste !!

Beautiful Forest Getaway
Staying with Frances afforded us a beautiful, peaceful summer getaway in the woods. Our site was spacious, with an in ground fire pit, gorgeous mature trees, and a small walking trail into the woods. We loved exploring the property with our dog where we wandered to a fairy garden, through a small berry patch, and around the stage area where Frances told us visiting artists and musicians come to perform each year. The site itself was far enough away from other sites, the road, and the main home to feel private. Frances was a welcoming host both during the reservation process and upon our arrival. We loved her hand-drawn map of the property and hearing about she and her husband have tended to this unique place for decades. She had several recommendations for convenient food, coffee, and dog-friendly family parks in the Stanwood/Camano area. Thank you, Frances— we’d love to stay at Mother Earth’s Pocket again!

Frannie was a great host! Beautiful land, glow in the dark rocks scattered around our campsite, and felt very private. Lent us butter for cooking when we forgot to bring some. Would definitely come back!

We enjoyed staying at this place for one night. We had enough space for 2 cars and 3 tents. The host met us when we arrived and was very helpful.

Mother Earth's Pocket
Nice home base for lake activities
We had to cancel our eastern Washington camping plans thanks to wildfires but Mother Earth’s Pocket came through in a pinch. We felt welcome at the property and had plenty of room to spread out with our large-ish group (10). The property is very close to several lakes and we visited a different one each day. The only thing that wasn’t great was the state of the portable toilets. But if they start to get a regular cleaning, this would be a perfect HipCamp. There were other campers around the property but we never really saw them, so it was super private. Make sure to bring some folding tables, as there is only one small round metal table on the site we occupied.
