We were really excited about this trip over Labor Day but we were pretty underwhelmed. The location is beautiful and we loved exploring the area. The tent itself was beautiful and well appointed, the bed was comfortable and there was a steam that provided a peaceful sound track to our stay.
But we felt misled by the listing and felt that we overpaid for the bathroom situation. The listing notes that there are flushable toilets with hot showers. We found a sign near the kitchen area that said "Bathrooms and showers are OUT OF ORDER please use the porta potty at the glamping village next to shelter and the showers at the resort (bathroom with shower next to office) sorry for the inconvenient - management". There was no communication of this prior to our stay nor in our tent. It was also unclear where the flushable toilet and showers were and what resort they're referring to. It ended up being a hotel down the road that you drive to, finally found it by wandering around the property.
Also a larger party of 30 people camping near entrance on first night w/ music.
I messaged the host when we first arrived Saturday evening to let them know we just got in and it was dark and asked where the bathrooms/showers were, and if we could access them 24/7? Also asked for the wifi password. We stayed two nights and never heard back from the host - disappointing!
In addition there were some long black hairs in the bed when we arrived, which made me worry about the cleanliness of the tent.
Iliana has done a magnificent job curating a glamping village. I stayed in the safari tent and it was perfect. Everything you can think of is provided, and the bed was very comfortable, and the bathrooms are very clean. One of the things I liked is that each tent has a picnic table, and a fire pit for outdoor time. There is also a group pit shall you wish to have community connection. Best part of all, if you stay on a Saturday the resort area has live music and a good vendor on site. It’s a family owned place and they are very personable. I will definitely be back.
Beautiful property and super clean in the tents as well as the shared bathrooms/ showers. Bring your own cookware and soap, they have the rest! Just what I needed for a relaxing get away.
The glamping tents were excellent, incredibly comfortable beds and lots of amenities. We only booked these because the cabins were full, and we are so glad this is how it turned out. More privacy, a good setup, and just something different.
Minus a few points for no WiFi at all, even though it’s presented as a feature.
What a great place to stay. They really thought of everything. We brought a lot of our camping gear because we didn’t really know what to expect and didn’t use any of it. Would definitely stay here again.
