Come enjoy the relaxation and peacefulness of the beautiful outdoors. This 15 acre retreat lies directly on the Lyre River just 5 miles west of the quaint country town of Joyce. The 6 site flat next to the river is ideal for tent camping or camper vans. Lots of native plants to view through out the camp ground area. You may be visited by local wildlife in this secluded slice of heaven. Located just minutes from hiking trails, boating on the Strait of Juan De Fuca or freshwater lakes, the Spruce Railroad trail on Lake Crescent, and beautiful Hurricane Ridge. We look forward to sharing it with you.
The campsite by the Lyre River offers a charming setting with easy river access and well-maintained facilities. Guests often commend the friendly and attentive hosts who ensure a clean and welcoming environment. However, some campers noted that the sites are quite close together, which may limit privacy, particularly when the campground is full. Despite this, many visitors appreciate the serene river backdrop and the strategic location for exploring nearby attractions.
Our group had a marvelous time at site #4! The location is stunning and Carol and Larry are responsive and generous hosts. There are fire pits at every site and although the sites are close we never felt crowded and the sound of the river gives a lot of cover. The restrooms are well maintained as well. Hoping to come back and visit the Lyre River retreat again!
We had such a great time here!! Carol’s land is so beautiful and peaceful. The amenities she provides are clean and very thoughtful. We will definitely book again in the future. Thank you, Carol!
I love Carol's land. Very neat, the bathrooms really clean. A little too close the campsites to each other, but it didn't matter because there was a lot of good vibes. Just saying it in case someone wants more peace. Carol was really nice and the check in-check out was super simple. Just get there and enjoy!
There's a table and a firepit. Decent signal. The best part was sleeping with the sound of the river.
She mentioned that she's going to expand the site so there's more space. We'll love to come back and enjoy that!
Great spot close to port Angeles! The river was lovely, clean area, porta potties regularly maintained and lovely camp hosts, would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was the sites were a little close together and not a ton of privacy, but we did have respectful neighbors during our stay
Carol had plenty of porta potties, and they were very clean. The area was spacious, and the noise from the river helped us feel a little bit of privacy. We really enjoyed playing ladder ball, and for the families, it looked like there were good toys around. We also like the fire extinguisher and first aid kit. Those were a nice touch.
