Island retreat
I loved the Tree tents, Ramy’s land was so beautiful every single bit of it was gorgeous. Make sure you bring enough blankets tho the tent gets a little bit chilly at night. The beach next the the place was perfect and full of wildlife.

We loved camping on the unique tree tents! Think Eno hammock meets a tent. Sturdy and comes with storage sacks. Gorgeous views. The host, Ramy, is wonderful and goes out of her way to ensure you have both a great time on the island.

Very private. We were the only guests and had the whole place to ourselves. Very cool experience.

Secluded & serene beach-view stay
Excellent location and thoughtful, responsive hostess. The communal cabin has a full kitchen and bathroom including pots, plates, microwave, blender, toaster oven, and coffee maker. The tree tents themselves are a nice compromise between a three-man tent and three combined single hammocks, and next to each one are two large rainproof locking chests for storing other items. The two nearer tree tents share power and a hose bib -- with an electric camping cooler and a little manual washing machine an adult couple could stay for weeks. The site itself is a short walk up from the beach and has excellent views east, especially at sunrise. Those who have never camped off the ground before it will require more insulation than expected. Veteran hammock campers will appreciate the other large trees that surround each of the groups of three from which the tree tents hang. Decatur itself is more scenic and has better hiking than a glance at an elevation map would suggest, down the coast to the nature preserve and attached smaller island is highly recommended. If traveling from out of state check the burn ban status before presuming on campfires. Camping on a limited-access private island provides a feeling of calm and security not available elsewhere.

Incredible, unique experience!!!!!
My family and I had the most incredible stay. The views from the tent site and the privacy were worth the Price of admission. We had everything we needed, showers, fresh water, and incredible nights sleeping suspended in the trees. I’m so grateful to Ramy for the opportunity. We hope to make this a yearly adventure!
