RV spot to camp or pull your RV to. Right on the Cowlitz River! Enjoy walks along the Cowlitz River or head downtown Packwood, which is less than 19 minutes away. 30amp power connection, water and sewer dump on site! Only 15 minutes to the Ohanapecosh Mount Rainier entrance. You will love this spot!Riverside at the Cowlitz River! There is gravel at the pad sites and three total water spigots, two sewer dumps and one 50-amp power connection. More of an RV travel trailer site than a tent camping site although it could definitely work for tent camping. We do have (friendly) neighbors on both sides of us so this is not a remote, highly private site, but our neighbors are seasonal so they’re not up there all the time. We do not live on site and this property does not have any additional amenities beyond sewer dump, power, water, Firepit, nature and the river! You will be the only ones on the site and there are two options for where to pull in. Only 15mins away from Mount Rainier, beautiful location! We would highly recommend that you have 75ft of power cords to be able to use the back of the lot for your RV. (3) 25’ cords work great. Our power supply is a 50 amp service, so you might need an adapter if you have a 30 amp on RV. 75’ will reach from the power service to the RV easily at the back space. Water is in three different spots, so no issues there. Please make sure to bring your own hose for water.

Fun spot on the river!
32 ft travel trailer · With kids
Really great spot, especially if you have kids. The river is right alongside the property and there is soooo much to explore.

5/5 Tent camping next to river!
Tent
We loved tent camping at this spot! We fit one 6 person tent and one 1 person tent beneath the RV spot, but could definitely fit at least 2 more tents! Even though it's in a neighborhood, it felt very secluded! We really enjoyed walking the 20ish yards to the river every morning to make breakfast. Great views of the mountains too! Close to town, the Packwood Lake trail, and Rainier National Park! Will 100% be back!

Picturesque, professional RV site
21 ft campervan
Easy to access, well equipped and professionally groomed cozy spot tucked into quiet neighborhood of cabins, homes and RV getaway spots. Nice view of the hills; closer greenery obscured river but provided an incentive to explore down to the waters edge maybe 100 feet away. Highway sound from across river was noticeable and perhaps bothersome for more sensitive folks, but not me. Somewhat narrow pad was optimal size for my camper van; longer rigs might need to park creatively to extend awnings in ideal viewing location.

Awesome spot, if....
18 ft travel trailer
Excellent Hipcamp site on the banks of the Cowlitz! Easy walk to easy the river. Quiet neighborhood. We appreciated the water and sewer dump. Here's the if.... Before booking, double check that your rig is suitable. The site closer to the river requires a 90 degree tight turn. We have an 18' Tab and 1500 truck and were able to back into the site with no issues.

Clean and quiet little neighborhood. River is easily accessible by foot, but if person has any handicaps, it is difficult to walk to it. There are a few options of how to park your trailer/RV. Since I did not have enough RV electric cord, I simply parked close to the hookup. However, it does mean you are by the entry road, as opposed to closer to the river and more tucked away. Overall, good choice for camping with good accessibility to Packwood and Mt. Rainier.
