Adjacent to hundreds of acres of private timber ground, our camp offers endless opportunities for hiking and hunting. Abundant turkey and white-tail deer populate the area.
You'll find major grocery and hardware stores just minutes away from the property, ensuring easy access to necessities. Additionally, enjoy local rodeos, fun runs, and a fall car show for added entertainment options.Cooks mountain camp is a short 2 miles from the small community of Newport WA. there is plenty of activities for all types of outdoor activities. There are miles of hiking across Bobier rd on timber company ground where it ok to hike and bike however no motorized vehicles allowed. There are multiple lakes within a half hour drive of Cooks mountain camp. for the fishing enthusiast there are trout and pike in the pend orielle river, rainbow trout in freeman lake, cutthroat trout in marshall lake and lingcod and numerous other fish. if you are a hunter there is wild turkey and whitetail deer right out your door. atv's are allowed on county roads and there are miles of county roads in the area. there is a rodeo every year and huckleberry festival in July. the camp is located on a seldom used road and very quiet.
