IMPORTANT: Please note that all stays require a ferry reservation to and from our site - we are on an island and it is the only way to reach the property! If bringing a car or camper to San Juan Island, you MUST already have a ferry reservation to reserve our campsite. Please include your ferry status in any messages. NOTE: Walking on the ferry and renting an electric bike or small vehicle once here can be a way around full ferries. There is parking at Anacortes Ferry Terminal. Walk-ons do not need ferry reservations or advance tickets. WSDOT releases any last minute open vehicle slots at 7 am sharp two weeks and then again two days prior to the sailing date. There is also the far riskier "vehicle standby". See https://wsdot.wa.gov/travel/washington-state-ferries for much more information. About Cedar Hollow: An oasis in the woods surrounded by towering cedars on San Juan Island. 5 acres of private property to walk, along with easy access to other amenities. Please respect the resident deer! (We love dogs but have decided to disallowed them, due to the impact on our resident deer.) Firepit and free firewood available depending on burn rules. Awaken to birdsong. Watch deer graze. Relax. Property/owners are LGBTQ+ and DEI welcoming Nearby activities include whale watching, sea kayaking, farm tours, oyster farm, boating, road and mountain biking, frisbee golf, and hiking.

I loved being able to tent camp on Kelly’s land. It was a wonderful alternative to crowded state parks ! There was potable water very close to the site. Kelly provided free firewood and we had a fire two different evenings ! And we heard an owl hooting late in the evening ! Five deer came by and grazed nearby. We were well positioned, being very close to Roche Harbor and the Sculpture Park.

Lovely hosts and property.

Kelly and Doug are lovely hosts. Their property is beautiful. The campsite is as exactly as described. The campsite was uneven and we had a hard time getting our campervan level. This was my first time using Hipcamp and while advertised that there is not a toilet, I learned that it really shortens a stay 🤪.

Beautiful Camping in San Juan
My friend and I enjoyed a convenient and beautiful campsite at Kelly's and had a fantastic time. We were greeted by deers and fawns and enjoyed walking on the trails of the property. Very accommodating and nice hosts! Would recommend this experience.

A perfect stay, close to Roche Harbor bit tucked away in tranquility. Really enjoyed our time here, and chatting with Doug & Kelly.

We've been renting campervans and travelling the country with our 2 boys to visit National Parks. This year our trip took us to San Juan Island, which we discovered has limited camping spots. We were lucky to find this location. The host was nice and gave us some recommendations for the island while we were there. The location was quiet and big enough for the 4 of us. As others have said, the thing we missed the most was a bathroom - the location recommended to use one isn't super close and parking there isn't easy.

Nice private site. Two deer walked right through the site. Kids loved playing in nearby woods. Kelly was an excellent host - very helpful.
