We are situated on 9.3 beautiful acres of open field, forest, hiking trails and the lovely Samish River. As of now we have three, large perfectly dedicated sites ready for your time away from home and some outdoor enjoyment. Located just 7 minutes East of the freeway/I-5 off the Bow Hill Road exit you’ll drive up ‘Wildlife Acres Ln’. The name of our road rings true to the scene; bunnies and families of deer are everywhere. Flying near and over head are hawks, eagles, vocal blue jays and all the like.😊 Our trails are awesome. I’d highly recommend good shoes/hiking boots and maybe even your hiking poles or a walking stick for the two noticeably steep areas. Your mountain bike would be fun too. Note; the trail down to the river is steep- and worth the venture 💦 Delicious drinking water is available on site. A commercial style stainless steel sink is situated right next to the garden for hand washing and doing dishes. No hot water is available, but you can always heat some on your cook stove. Jess' garden stand located at the beginning of the driveway will have seasonal eggs, berries and veggies for anything you may have forgotten or would like to enjoy for your evening meals or breakfast concoctions. Available right now; Fresh, organically fed, free range and happy duck eggs Rainbow Chard (ask Jess so I can pick fresh, wash and offer upon request) Now…the fun stuff to do out-and-about and outside of ‘Camp Wildlife’ is quite extensive. North 40 Farm Store is 10 minutes down the way located off F&S Grade Road where you can find LOCAL natural grass fed Black Angus beef, pork, milk, eggs, bread and more! Bellingham is just 20 minutes north. Burlington is 15 minutes south. The islands are 40 minutes west. Then there’s Deception Pass, Bow and Edison 15 minutes west; Chuckanut drive is stunningly beautiful, blueberry picking, Samish Bay Cheese, The Bread Farm, Teramar pizza, Whatcom Falls, Mount Baker, Skagit Speedway (you’ll hear some Vroom Vrooms and some fireworks, my camper friends as we are just a couple miles from that kind of fun!) The Skagit Casino for great tacos and live music and the list goes on… A little starter bundle of firewood will be provided for each site and more available for purchase if you won’t be bringing your own and would rather not purchase from a gas station. Doggies are most definitely welcome.😊 We have three kitties, six ducks and a brand new puppy ourselves that must not to be chased. Off-leash doggies are welcome on the walking and hiking trails and they'll just love it! Again, please have doggies leashed or staked up at the campsites. 'Close calls' are no fun for anyone and we've had them. More to come...

Such a beautiful property nestled in the hills of Alger. Very well maintained. Everything was immaculate. Jess was the best host, accommodated every need. Garden site was cozy. I will definitely be back! Thanks so much Jess for your hospitality!

Garden View Site
Clean toilet and fine site
Overall it was a good experience. Notably, their bathroom was the cleanest that we have seen. However, in our case, we were trying to book the cedar tree site, and then were told by the host to book the garden view site because another larger group was planning to stay at the Cedar Tree site. The 2 sites cost the same, but the Cedar Tree site is clearly superior in terms of size and location. Would have liked some sort of compensation (eg. a lower price for the Garden view site) since we were asked to change our booking to the other site based on the larger group. I would recommend pricing the Garden View site lower based on this.

Great Getaway at Jess's land!
I had a wonderful stay at Jess's campsite! It was so easy to find, peaceful, and very clean. We stayed at the west camp, which was spacious and perfect for our dog to run around and play. The only downside was that there was little shade in the west camp during the afternoon, so I recommend bringing a pop-up shade. The shared bathroom and sink facilities were clean and conveniently located, serving three campsites including the west camp. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would definitely return!

This campsite is both beautiful and peaceful. Jess and Robert were star hosts. They were supportive and available for any questions or concerns. I would recommend this site to friends and family in a heart beat.

Cedar Tree RV Site West
Highly recommended
This is a great spot! Hip camps can be a gamble and this one is a winner. We started off with the van in sun but were able to set up our chairs in shade - so we stayed cool. Even in a heat wave it was pretty comfortable here. We enjoyed walks down to the river and a meadow. The out house is the nicest we’ve ever seen. There is a large outdoor sink where we were able to wash our hair- that sure felt good. Our pup LOVED it here- he was ready to move in and make a career of patrolling the rabbits. The second site is good for afternoon shade and we think our 24 foot van would have fit just fine. But we were happy where we were, in the big meadow next to a lovely cedar tree. We highly recommend this spot. Jess and Robert are welcoming and very helpful. I especially enjoyed seeing Jess’s garden and beautiful flowers.
