I recently bought this place from a friend's family. The name is in honor of him, "Bruzas in Bumps & Bruzas." He loved having people out all the time for fires and BBQs and just random fun. This place was went meant to be shared in his vision, so thats what I'm doing with it. The setup is simple, we are a property on the Carbon River with nearly 800ft of river front access. The levee runs along the length of the property creating continuous camping availability.  Please honor the property and adopt the LEAVE NO TRACE habits~ if possible please leave it better than you found it. We're a casual family friendly environment. We look forward to seeing you at our special property on the Carbon River. Please contact us for any other questions you may have!Information board on your right soon as you enter the property Make your way to the camping parking located behind the house. The setup is simple, we are a property on the Carbon River with nearly 1000ft of river front access on our ROCK levee. The levee runs along the length of the property creating continuous camping availability. Scope the area and see what area speaks to you, please leave vehicles in the parking lot. There are 5 private fire pits with a large central bonfire pit for large groups, and is open to everyone at all times.   5 gallon buckets can be found along the levee to fill with water for responsible fire safety. find a place that suits you, the sites are not numbered~ just set up at a fire ring an enjoy.  We have extra chairs and tables all over the place in case you forgot yours. Right across the street is The Foothills Trail is 25 miles or so of paved walking and bike riding path. Bumps & Bruzas is a short drive to Mt. Rainier, which allow you to take advantage of some gorgeous Pacific Northwest hiking. The towns of Enumclaw and Orting have grocery stores that will allow you to replenish reserves during your stay with us. Please honor the property and adopt the LEAVE NO TRACE habits~ if possible please leave it better than you found it. Smaller pull behind trailers fit well anything over 40ft total gets difficult to park and turn around. New bath house with 3 toilets and shower and sink wheelchair accessible Potable water is accessible to the left side of the house when entering the property also in bath house. If you need to charge, there is an outlet on the right side of the house  {LEFT SIDE OF THE memorial MURAL} **WE DO NOT WANT YOUR TRASH, KINDLY TAKE IT WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE**  We are a dog on property operation with PEOPLE FRIENDLY dogs.  There are 6 resident dogs 2 large and 4 small on the property, we sadly no longer allow campers to bring dogs due to multiple accounts of aggressive dogs attacking the property dogs. The property dogs are no longer new dog friendly. We're a casual family friendly environment. We look forward to seeing you at our special property on the Carbon River. "A River Runs Through It!!!"
Tent
Pat is very laid back, flexible, and welcoming! The property rests on the shores of a beautiful, fast-flowing river, and the sounds of nature are all around (it was especially wonderful falling asleep to the sound of the birds, and the flowing water). The sites were level and all on the water (there were both tents and small RVs there when we visited), and the location was very close to our event at the Washington State Fair! The amenities included 3 or 4 bathroom stalls, a warm shower and a wheelbarrow of split and seasoned firewood was only $20! Thanks for your hospitality, Pat!

Majestic views from someone's yard
Tent · With kids
The place is both good and bad. The Good: The hosts were friendly. The actual campsite was mowed, sizeable, and easy to drive up to and use. The river and mountain behind the river was beautiful and majestic. The bathroom was functional, clean, and close-by. The space is safe for toddlers with supervision. We had a great time. The Bad: the campsite is literally a few feet away from several houses. The photos on the campsite are obviously old. For example, the piano is currently covered with junk. There are random pieces of junk on the site: an old bathtub, an unused camper, etc. You only feel like you're in nature if you look at a certain angle at the river. Otherwise, you feel like you're in an overcrowded set of backyards with junk scattered through them.

Great spot!
5 m pop-up camper
A great time. We parked the van in a lovely spot on the levee, and had our chairs inches from the waters edge. The next day we walk a mile or so up the trail that is just across the street, and put in a big floaty, and spent three hours floating (mostly very slowly) back to the sandbar about 50 yds below our site. Pat was super friendly and so were the five silly doggos. It was a great place for us to connect.

Friendly communication. Decent spot(s) all along gravel extended driveway that parallels the carbon river. Nice bathrooms and decent shower a little walk from sites. Potable water. The river is a nice background noise. House dogs wander into your site which can be fine for some people. Decent camping experience for a Hipcamp site!

We were not able to camp due to unseen circumstances. I had messaged the host with a question and never received a response. Communication was good prior to booking however after booking there was no communication.

The sound of the river!!!
Tent · With kids
My famTribe was so sad when Bumps and Bruzs closed the closed and as soon as we found it had re-open we made it a mission to return. The location is close to all of our homes the feel of being in woods but having amenities just 10 mins away you can't beat it. This for us has been some of our best memories and as long as they are open we will return!!
