Great find near Poulsbo!
Tent
I enjoyed this HipCamp! Alicia is sweet and wonderful. It was fun/funny to wake up to horses snuffling and roosters cockadoodledooing! I liked that it’s the only site, so no camping neighbors. The outhouse she built is amazing—clean and stinkless, comfortable, and does the job! The site is also nicely located, being convenient to the Hood Canal Bridge, Port Gamble, Poulsbo, etc.
Be aware that it is in a valley and there are neighbors, so you might hear this or that from the adjacent mini-farms. I’ll take that over screaming babies, drunk parties, and loud diesel trucks any day.
My onliest complaint—a minor one—was that while there is a level area designated for a tent, the site as a whole is not very level, and has some rocks and spikey plants, so wear sturdy shoes! It’d be cool if she adds a little terracing with railroad ties or whatnot, and adds landscaping fabric underneath to prevent the spikey plants and blackberries from popping up.
I’d stay here again.
