Welcome to our small Farm and Inn, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Madison County, Virginia. Located just minutes from Shenandoah National Park, we offer intimate nature-inspired cottages and camping on our 120-acre working farm. Enjoy an evening under the stars with fireflies and a campfire after a long day hike, fly fishing on one of our beautiful trout steams or touring the local vineyards and breweries. We currently offer one cottage and a few campsites for our guests. Our campsites are all private, located acres apart with tables, chairs, firepits, some elevated sleeping areas, some hammock spots and a few with a roof. Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway therefore can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. A few offerings on the farm. Tasting in the 1850s Chestnut log cabin, tubing trips, breakfast and picnic lunches, Animal experiences and Yoga. Sawmill Cottage near Shenandoah NP

We loved staying in Jen's cottage! The kitchen was well equipped with supplies, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed eating dinner outside and then enjoying their DVD collection. We also rented tubes and had a great afternoon in their beautiful riverford! Most of all, we were so appreciative of Jen's expert advice about hiking in Shenandoah. She gave us great advice to navigate crowds on a holiday weekend, find good parking, and explore the park in a manageable and enjoyable way. She is so knowledgeable about the area! I would absolutely stay again and would recommend.

Moonshine near Old Rag SNP

Moonshine Cabin was perfect!

Moonshine camp was adorable and the perfect stay for my boyfriend and I. We are used to dragging the camper and a whole bunch of supplies so this was a welcome reprieve as everything was already there. Jennifer was extremely sweet and welcoming and gave us some useful info and directions since cell service was not so great. Seeing all the farm animals was a plus! The cabin has everything you need including lanterns and some cooking supplies, cooler and a table and chairs by the fire. Bed was super comfy and the cabin is set back up on a hill in the woods so very private. The drive to SNP was about 25 minutes and there are a few wineries down the road we stopped into. What a fun stay!

Butterfly Camp: Near Shenandoah NP

Adorable Stay at Butterfly Camp

Absolutely amazing trip. Wonderful hosts, peaceful location. Def recommend pets and cuddles and tubing. Jennifer was super helpful recommending things to do in the area, the farm store is absolutely adorable, the campsites had more amenities than I anticipated like dish soap, a sponge, and towel (which I often forget). It was the perfect balance of having a simple campsite and just enough convenience. Can’t wait to come back and stay at birdsong next.
