Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Nestled in the treetops of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Archer’s Ridge is your home base to explore Shenandoah National Park and beyond. You’re just a quick 10-15 minute drive to White Oak Canyon and Old Rag Mountain trailheads, two of Virginia's premier hiking destinations. After you've enjoyed the trails, return to the Ridge to unwind surrounded by the warm wood tones of our log cabin, or pop down to the local winery less than a mile away. See more of the cabin on IG @archers_ridge The main living space on the first floor is both open and cozy. In the living room you’re welcomed by the large stone fireplace, comfy seating, TV with Roku streaming and a large DVD collection, books, board games, and puzzles. The dining area has seating for four and the table can be expanded to fit eight. Our well-stocked kitchen has all the pots, pans, and pantry essentials to cook any meals during your stay, or take things outside and grill out on our three-burner gas grill. On the coffee bar we provide a drop coffee maker, filters, and grounds. If you're discerning about your coffee, feel free to bring your own beans and use our burr grinder. Upstairs you’ll find two bedrooms with queen-sized beds. The morning sun-filled front bedroom features a walk-out balcony with comfy swing chair: a haven for sunrise coffee rituals. If you're sensitive to morning sunlight, we'd recommend getting your beauty sleep in the upstairs back bedroom with it's single northwest-facing window. The third bedroom, on the main floor, also stays nice and dark for light-sensitive guests, and includes a comfortable full-sized bed, twin trundle bed, and desk nook for quiet work sessions. With high-speed satellite wifi, bring your laptop and work in between outings to all of our nearby trails. The full bathroom upstairs includes a shower/tub combo. You’ll find the half bath on the main floor, as well a bonus shower stall in the laundry room, which also houses—you guessed it—our washer and dryer. Outside, there’s plenty of space to relax on our brand new wrap-around deck. Dine alfresco on the deck with seating for 6-8, or gather around the Solo Stove fire pit for a night of stories and s’mores. The main living space on the first floor is both open and cozy.
