Great rural spot near I-95.
13 ft travel trailer
I was traveling South on I-95 and decided to find a spot around Richmond VA. I found The Farm on Hipcamp North of Richmond in a rural area, but reasonably close to the highway. I made the reservation, contacted Paul and heard from him so we could coordinate my arrival. Paul meet me at a property and suggested another spot even more secluded by a winery and took the time to drive me there through some back roads not far from where we had met. What a spot all to myself! Sadly I was in a hurry so I just stayed overnight and did not get a chance to enjoy the serene surroundings. Being short of time, I asked Paul for a restaurant recommendation, and he suggested La Herradura Mexican Restaurant about 15 minutes away. That was an absolute hit for me. Great fajitas, great service and fast, a very large and tasty Margarita rounded out the dinner. I had a great experience at The Farm and highly recommend it. The prices was phenomenal to boot, half price this time of the year 👍.

Excellent stay in a beautiful area!
17 ft campervan
We loved camping in our minivan at the farm. It was beautiful and very quiet and relaxing. Paul was very attentive and provided a good location to setup in a quiet area on the edge of a field. Beautiful pristine area, our highlight was the huge hoot owl we saw in the tree above us at sunset and of course our wonderful night’s sleep. We would definitely stay again and certainly recommend to others.

Tent
The area was quiet and secluded. The not so great part was it was down a good size hill and the entire area was full of 3-4 foot tall weeds and wildflowers. The pictures made us think it would have been more flat and the grass would have been cut.

Great overnight spot
14 ft RV · Group trip
Paul’s property is a safe but primitive site on his farm next to the railroad tracks - which we thought was cool- but it is very loud 3-4 times at night. The Hipcamp map coordinate directions take you an extremely long way around and also to the wrong (next door) property. Paul responded immediately with better directions. Take those. Also the driveway needs some sort of marker. We appreciated an inexpensive, beautiful, safe spot to sleep.

Rustic and all to yourself
Group trip
Overall it was good spot. Train tracks come near the campsite and there was a 2 or 3 trains that came thru loudly. Also no water but that's alright. Otherwise lots of space

Paul's place is beautiful! Convenient to Interstate 95 and yet you feel like you are far away from the busy world. Paul and his wife are great people. I'd stay here again, for sure.
