Great camp site!
Our family stayed at Swedish Lilac Campground for our first camping trip, and it was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and provided helpful information to make our stay smooth and enjoyable. The campground itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you could need. It’s also in a great location, close to Shenandoah and George Washington National Forest, making it ideal for exploring the area. We had such a great experience and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-run campsite. We’ll definitely be back!

Swedish Lilac Campground
Loved this campground! Restrooms, picnic tables, water & electricity at each site. The campground owner was so courteous and accommodating ! Only about a 15 minute drive to VMI. We want to go back just to spend time at the campground to relax. Away from the traffic but yet close to Lexington. In 60 yrs camping, I’ve never had a campground host this accommodating and friendly! Dog friendly as well!

Loved it!
I absolutely loved it here. My site was next to a stream and it was extremely peaceful. The owners are absolutely lovely people. The gentleman actually helped me stake my tent down. I am brand new to camping and it never crossed my mind to bring a hammer, and I was very lucky that the owner was there and so willing to help me. I cannot thank him enough. I absolutely will return to this campground so that I can explore the area more. This surrounding area is just beautiful!

Lovely, peaceful setting
Our host Fritz contacted us the night before and we exchanged texts to discuss our arrival time. He was waiting for us at the office when we arrived, even though we were the only ones booked so late in the season. His wife Valerie also dropped by to meet us. Our site was easy to pull thru, perfectly level and had water and electric. We were very close to the restrooms, which were very clean, with showers that had hot water in seconds. We had a very quiet and restful night, and in the morning we saw two deer dashing through the river at the rear of the property. Highly recommend this property, the owners are so nice and helpful. We hope to visit again.
