Welcome to The Riverside on The New River in the Blue Ridge Mountains. A place where you can enjoy a beautiful comfortable camper where the doors open right onto a gorgeous deck that looks directly onto the New River. The New River is considered one of the oldest rivers in the world. This is a place where you can watch birds (bald eagles have been seen), swim, fish, kayak, canoe and go boating. You can make a campfire footsteps to the river, or kick back on one of our chair loungers and watch the geese take a swim. Feel free to sing songs as you roast your marshmallows as you may hear a neighbor doing the same. It is a recreational lot so there are others around you as these are privately owned lots (If you are looking for seclusion, this is not the place for you). The next morning wake up with your morning coffee as you swing on our beautiful fully covered 25x35’ deck with the beautiful view of The New River. We are a 5 minute drive from the New River Trail State Park, where you can hike, bike or walk along the river! We provide you with linen, bath towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash, pots/pans, condiments, and coffee. We have a griddle, a BBQ grill and an over the campfire griller. You may want to bring the following: -beach towels -sunscreen -bug spray -charcoal/lump -paper plates/cups -extra water (we provide one gallon of water) Dollar General is a short drive away and has all the essentials and some...Welcome to Riverside-Glamping on The New River in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Great site on the river near NRT
Group trip
We really enjoyed our stay at Riverside. It was a great base for us as we biked the new river trail. We found everything just as described. We were gone during the day so didn’t take advantage of the deck, but we really enjoyed having a fire down by the river in the evening. We would definitely stay here again next time we come to the area!

Group trip
We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at Riverside. Gracie & John have such a cute place by the New River. We spent our days fishing off the bank, sitting around the campfire, making smores, swinging on the porch and taking naps. The weather was perfect! We slept very comfortably and we felt at home and they left no stone unturned. Very detailed directions about everything there and how to operate it. Even provided us water and coffee! We would love to go back one day soon!

Riverside
With kids
We had a great weekend at Riverside. It was the perfect getaway to relax with some friends from college. The guys enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the river! We roasted hotdogs and made smores around the firepit. The griddle on the deck was awesome for cooking breakfast! The covered deck was perfect for enjoying coffee or a meal together outdoors when it rained. The kids enjoyed the foosball table. RV was spacious and comfortably slept all 8 of us. Gracie and John have provided everything needed to feel at home. We hope to return for another trip soon!

Delightful Riverside Experience
Gracie and John's place is a first class camping experience. The large covered deck is a delightful place to hang out rain or shine. The outdoor griddle is a delight to use. Easy river access and a cabana with lounge chairs makes hanging out by the water easy. While the evening rain showers kept us from using the fire pit, it was a nice option. There are so many little touches that shows that the owners care for their place by the river.
