Unique limestone formations can be found on the property. Large birds and even an eagle or two seem to prefer this area for hunting. Watch from a distance as farmers cut hay throughout the summer. This private cliff top setting has 6 newly created camp sites on 5 Acres. Enjoy less crowds and more nature! The long range views or the river and farmlands will take your breath away. At the bottom of the drive you have access to the New River and the New River Trail so bring your bike, or kayak for more fun. Bike the trail, bird watch, or star gaze; the choices are endless. Don't be surprised to see bear, turkey, eagles, deer, or a coyote. PLEASE give us a rating on YELP also if you enjoyed your stay! There is a zoo in nearby Ft. Chiswell. Each site has full hook ups. No tent sites at the present time. Area grocery stores are located about 30 minutes away in Wytheville, Pulaski and Hillsville. The views are beautiful! This was our 2nd visit, have really enjoyed the peacefulness both times.

We enjoyed the view from site 5. Unfortunately, star and comet gazing were a challenge due to the excessive lights on site. As others have mentioned, site 5 full hookup is inconvenient as the water and septic are in the center of the site. We made it work though. All in all a good stay.

Easy to find and spectacular views!! Sewer, power, and water at the site made the trip even more worry free! Nearby biking path was also a nice way to spend a few hours!

Great stay with even better views
Great stay at Jim’s campsite. Great location, spacious sites and an unbeatable view. Access to the New River Trail is handy. Will be booking again if in the area in the future.

Bright cross killed night vision
The campground location was ideal, with the view of the big sky and beautiful sunset, HOWEVER, we hoped to enjoy an evening of stargazing as it was a time to see the comet and the meteor shower. Unfortunately there was a huge illuminated cross just feet away from our site that was on until late in the evening and blasted out the dark skies we had hoped to enjoy.
