Learn more about this land: When you arrive you will drive up to your campground destination which is 16 acres of Loblolly Pine trees. There is a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with Catfish, Bass, Crappies, Brim and Shell Cracker. Also there are two smaller ponds with minnows and one is home to Tucker the Turtle 🐢 . We have several trails on the property to walk as well. You are welcome to 🐠 fish for dinner but we ask that you notify your host if you want to keep some fish. Otherwise please practice catch and release policy. Each site will have a fire ring available. We are AUTISM Friendly 💙,so if you have a camper that needs a little more encouragement about camping or other accommodations please let your host know. You are welcomed to bring your furry family members, bikes and kayaks. We are only 35 minutes from Carter’s Mountain, Monticello and Jefferson Winery’s. Thistle Gate Winery is only 5 minutes away and 20 minutes to Scottsville were you can enjoy the James River. UVA sports complex is only 30 minutes away and your able to go the back way in to skip the gridlock of the traffic. There so much more within 30 to 45 minutes of this camping area I can’t list it all. Absolutely beautiful spot! We chose a perfect weekend, as we were the only tent campers there that night. We enjoyed a gorgeous sunset, a misty sunrise, lots of fishing, s'mores, and camp fire roasted hot dogs. It felt very secluded and peaceful. Watching my young daughter connect with nature was purely magical- this will definitely be a new favorite spot. (Oh, and there was a super clean bathroom....!! Definitely worth mentioning.)

What a beautiful sanctuary!! The campground is clean, quiet and the owners are extremely welcoming. I would highly recommend a stay at this site!!

Perfect spot to camp!

We were welcomed by Michelle when we arrived and she showed us right where to go. Port-a-potty was the cleanest I’d ever seen one clean. We were right near the dock which was great for the canoe we borrowed. They would come by just a few times just to check if we needed anything; we appreciated that. We’d stay here again over a state park any time.

Great campground that feels safe and is great for families. Hidden away in a private land with lots of fish in the pond. Super clean porta potty available for use and hosts were very nice and friendly. Would stay here again!

RV camping

The lake was nice for canoeing. The woods were charming. Wouldn't recommend staying for extended time, there was no water pressure. Even with the outdoor shower on the property it was just a trickle. Also we expected full hookups but there was no sewer at our site.

There are no RV sites near the pond area. Future stays I recommend the field by the barn.
