Nice but not what we expected
30 ft travel trailer · Group trip · We have mixed feelings about this site. We had access to water, electricity & sewer, but the orientation of the connections were odd. If you backed-in, they were on the wrong side. Pulling in, they were at the front of the rig & getting our tow vehicle disconnected & out was challenging due to a horse pasture fence next to the site. The set-up & location of the sites weren't the same sites shown on the page. There were RVs in the spots shown on the hipcamp page & appeared to be long-term spots. Water & electricity on our site was fine, however the sewer was an above ground holding tank. When dumping, gravity is your friend. In this case, with the tank being above ground, there was no way to dump without the process of lifting the sewer hose higher than the tank. It probably took us 45 mins to dump our black tank. Additionally, there is a florescent light right between the two sites (kinda of like what you would find in a parking lot). This takes away from the atmosphere we expected when camping (stars, moonlight, campfire light).
On the positive side, Stephanie was responsive & timely to questions via the app & text. She even arranged assistance for our hipcamp neighbors when they were leaving & got stuck in the mud due to some heavy rains. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet her as she had to go out of town on an emergency. Regardless of some of the challenges mentioned above, we still enjoyed the time on the farm, at the pond & just being outdoors.
