We are a working farm, scenic setting with a 200 year old farm house, quiet and peaceful, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. Close to historic sites, such as Monticello, Montpelier, and the Manassas Civil War Battlefield. Luray Caverns and Sky Line Drive can be found 30 to 40 miles west. We are one hour southwest of D.C. and one hour northeast of Charlottesville. During your stay you can sample from one of the many wineries/breweries in the area. If your traveling with your horse, we have indoor stalls and turnout available.

Site 5 - Narrow Gate Farm

We stayed 4 nights. Water and electric was convenient. Views were great. Jim was very accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

Site 3 - Narrow Gate Farm

This was a nice overnight stay. Jim was a great, accomodating host. I camped at site 3 which is next to an old barn on a hill that has nice views of the farm. It worked out very well for me in my teardrop camper but may not be a good option for a larger camper due to the small size of the pad.

Site 4 - Narrow Gate Farm

Jim’s land was a great set up for our family. There was space for the kids to run, bike, play. They loved petting the horses. And our dogs loved being off-leash and exploring the area. Jim was very kind and attentive. Would recommend it!

Site 9 - Narrow Gate Farm

Jim's farm is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay and especially loved that our dogs could play off-leash some. Jim was great at communicating with us and extremely helpful meeting us on arrival and getting our RV set up. Highly recommended!

Site 5 - Narrow Gate Farm

Narrow Gate Farm is a very quiet location to stay. The site had excellent water pressure and 50amp service so wanted for nothing. Stayed in camp site 5 which is at the highest point of the farm with a great view across the pond and the fields with horses. It also gets a good cross breeze on the extra hot days. If you like dogs you'll be pleased to know that you're more than likely to get a visit from the happy farm dogs on occasion. If you're heading to this part of VA or just passing through, you'll enjoy the tranquility you can find here.

We unfortunately had to cancel last minute but leading up to it, Jim was extremely responsive, helpful, flexible and understanding. We will definitely try to stay here if we’re passing through!
