We are a working farm, scenic setting with a 200 year old farm house, quiet and peaceful, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. Close to historic sites, such as Monticello, Montpelier, and the Manassas Civil War Battlefield. Luray Caverns and Sky Line Drive can be found 30 to 40 miles west. We are one hour southwest of D.C. and one hour northeast of Charlottesville. During your stay you can sample from one of the many wineries/breweries in the area. If your traveling with your horse, we have indoor stalls and turnout available.

Site 2 - Narrow Gate Farm
We got there early so instructions for access were easy to follow for campsite. We shared the site with an RV but we mostly stuck to ourselves. The location was private with a picnic table and fire ring. Owner had a very friendly dog name Tilly that loved to play fetch. Lovely view of the night sky.

Spot 5 was absolutely fantastic!
We stayed on spot 5 for two nights and we will absolutely be coming back! The farm is beautiful and extremely peaceful. Easy to find and access. Hookups were convenient and Jim had extra hoses and 50/30 adapters available. The friendly farm dogs were a huge treat, as well as watching the horses and their goat buddy. Porta potty was clean and fresh. One thing of note is cell service in surrounding area. On the farm the service was usable, but we took a day trip to Graves Mountain Orchard and had no service for a long stretch! Predownload directions or buy a map!

Site 10
Stars, Horses & large private site!
Can’t say enough good things about Jim and Cyndi’s place! This one is definitely my favorite site on their property! SITE - Site is situated in a mini valley by a red barn. This provides privacy from the neighbors and hosts. But it’s still super close to the toilet (and the pool if it’s in season). - One of my favorite things is how it’s nice and sunny in the morning while getting extra shade from our camper in the afternoon. - Love the metal ring for the fire. - The fencing provides great boundary for our offleash dog and wandering toddler. PROPERTY - horses, tractors and barns! We took morning and evening walks with our littles and there’s so much entertainment in the scenery and things on the property. - night sky is so beautiful! Moon was half full and still we saw a ton of stars! I can only imagine what it’s like on a new moon! HOSTS - Jim and Cyndi are amazing and welcoming hosts! Helped us park and provided hookup extension and 50/30 converter. - Jim also provided directions to places we were visiting. Graves Apple Festival and Shenandoah National Park. - Finally (or firstly), we booked last minute and arrived late, still Jim was available and even greeted us after sunset and helped find the site and hookups.

Jim was a very nice and responsive host. The farm Is beautiful and the camping horse pen is large and level. There is a farm dog named Tilly who is sweet around humans, but not necessarily around other dogs when there is food or balls for playing.
