We are a working farm, scenic setting with a 200 year old farm house, quiet and peaceful, nestled at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains. Close to historic sites, such as Monticello, Montpelier, and the Manassas Civil War Battlefield. Luray Caverns and Sky Line Drive can be found 30 to 40 miles west. We are one hour southwest of D.C. and one hour northeast of Charlottesville. During your stay you can sample from one of the many wineries/breweries in the area. If your traveling with your horse, we have indoor stalls and turnout available.

Site 2 - Narrow Gate Farm

This was a wonderful stay. The site is off the main road and not too close to the owners home. Makes for a private stay. There are two wonderful dogs who live on the farm and come to visit. I did have a hard time finding the location at first, I didn't have good service on the drive (recommend noting directions beforehand) but once I did it was a beautiful property to stay at! There is a porta potty for use on site. Owners cane to greet me upon arrival and were very welcoming.

We were on a hill looking down on the property. I got the best pictures ever with this view. Very quiet. Great place to relax and see farm life at the same time. Loved it!

Site 5 - Narrow Gate Farm

We went up for a tent camping trip and it was great. Jim was very welcoming, accommodating and it was a very fun stay. The views were great, all of the animals, especially the farm dogs that played tirelessly with our pups were a nice addition. We will look to make this a yearly tradition.

Site 4 - Narrow Gate Farm

Not Private but SUPER Friendly!

Overall, the trip was great! I enjoyed the farm, the animals, and the surrounding pastures of green grass. The Host made sure to come out and greet me and give me the lay of the land. The camping area was a little less private than I imagined, but that's on me. The listing was very clear about the location and the area to camp. I had two other campers in the fenced-in area, but we all managed to engage and maintain some privacy very well. The porta-potty was very clean, and the host included firewood, which was greatly appreciated when traveling on a motorcycle.
