Another lovely, peaceful stay.
This is our third time here, and once again, it was absolutely spectacular. We met some of the nicest people, had absolutely no problems with dog noise or any other disturbances. Thank you again for your hospitality, Al!

Weekend getaway!!
The camp area was absolutely gorgeous!! Great views all around and nice level spots making set up a breeze. Al was a gracious host and made sure we were set for our weekend. The only sad part is the fact that there’s no wine at the winery. But for the views I’ve give it a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Wonderful weekend!!!

Lovely secluded Mountain View.
Lovely remote setting. Host had our spot ready. It is in a hayfield with lots of cut grass. Little bit slippery for the tires and a little too soft to be able to level up.
The winery was closed while we stayed so we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful mountains all around. It is gorgeous both sunrise and sunset.
I would mention when the directions say « driveway to the right » it does mean that little two tire track path. The main road becomes a dirt road at the same spot and there is a house driveway on the left so we were confused. It’s not easy to turn around if you take the wrong turn.

Bring Leveling Blocks and Ear Plugs
Al was great the space is beautiful!
BUT: If you come in on a weekend flat space is limited forcing you to park on a hill. Even the area with 50 amp hook up was on a hill. We came in on a Thursday and no problem just one other trailer. We went to the Overland Expo event came back Friday evening and we had to squeeze between a camper and a van in order to be on flat ground. As we booked with hipcamp I believe he is also set up with Harvest Host.
As for the Ear Plugs, DOGS! We could be wrong but we don't believe Al has dogs. We believe the neighbors are trying to sabotage his Hipcamp. The first night (Thursday) the dogs showed up. Then on Friday you open a door and they're barking at you. Barking went all the way past midnight. Actually it was so bad we almost pulled the plug and I was ready to drive 4.5 hours home. Thank God we had earplugs which by midnight it was the best call we made to get a good night sleep to get an early start.
The other suggestion I have for Al is to get a reflective sign at end of driveway. Each night late in the evening I saw a vehicle go up the neighbors driveway with every light on, only to figure out they clearly were not in the right place and turn around. Maybe these are the folks with the dogs which seem to magically be gone in the AM.
First time at a Hipcamp definitely think we'll stick with traditional campgrounds or dispersed camping which is what we prefer.

Quiet location
Lovely views and quiet location. At the time the winery was closed, so not sure how it would be when there is regular business. Field is VERY unlevel. Our 32’ fifth wheel was borderline too big to enter the property. It was difficult to contact the owner when we arrived, but got everything squared away by evening.

Secluded, peaceful venue and we are definitely planning on future visits. Al, the owner, is great!
