Former mill property with strong creek and several secluded areas to camp very close to Lynchburg Virginia, 1.5 miles from US460. There are no facilities on the property yet. Parking for RV not established yet. Along creek there are several good locations away from roads to pitch a tent overnight.Pitch your tent along Buffalo Creek and enjoy a quiet night with the sound of a strong running stream nearby. Situated 10 miles west of downtown Lynchburg and 2 min from US 460 this site is ideal for folks wishing for a last min getaway from town or a place to pitch a tent while passing through. The site is regularly mown and maintained, but there is always the possibility of downed limbs and scrub inside the wooded area. Camping will be inside the woods and along the creek. Campers are welcome to explore the creek and mill dam site as long as they do not walk atop the dam and respect safety setbacks along that area. Campers are asked to be respectful the property, leaving any and all remnants of the mill and dam in place and metal detecting/prospecting is not allowed. Firewood harvesting is prohibited. And currently there are no provisions for campfires. Gas camp stoves are welcome. Garbage disposal in provided bins . PLEASE Recycle. Parking is in a designated area within easy walking distance of the camping area. Motorcycles are welcome. Quiet hours are from 9PM to 9AM.

Beautiful farm, Bentonville was great gave us some history of the farm. We would recommend anyone camping in the area to stay there. Lots of places to camp along the nice big creek. We will be back.

Tent
Great piece of property near the city but feels secluded. Sound of running water was very nice and peaceful. Limited area to set up tents where we were: but we hammock camped and plenty of trees to choose from right along the creek
