We really enjoyed tent camping at these grounds. The views of the Shenandoah mountains in the background were beautiful. Recommend getting there early afternoon to get a good spot next to some of the picnic benches. Convenient spot for hikers too!

Ok but nothing special
Overall stay was fine but couple of things- the campground was not crowded but everyone was camping in the small area in front- signs prevented you from going further in. Seems weird to have so much space but not be available to use. Also, the bathrooms were very dirty (overrun) and tons of flies and never did see a shower.

WONDERFUL place!!
It was a great trip! The campground was spacious (there were maybe 10 groups of campers there? And they had even more space blocked off since they didn’t need much this weekend). I loved the pool at the lodge, they even had a DJ (but I think this was a special thing?). I think it was worth the price and I really want to come back with my whole family. The kids that were there seemed to be loving it. I can’t wait to come back.

This was a last minute booking when a previously booked location didn’t work out for our camper. Beautiful open fields but plenty , amazing views of the blue ridge mountains. When you pull in, be sure to stop at the bulletin board for checking in and other information. We didn’t realize that and drove around for a few minutes to find someone who called the owner to help us out. No set firepit a but there are some left behind by other campers we were able to use. There is a place to fill up your fresh water tank, and a dump station for an additional fee. We did not eat at the lodge or go to the market. Peaceful place, a bit off the beaten path, but would definitely visit again!

Camping at Bluegrass Festival
One of the cleanest campgrounds we have ever been to. You can tell that the owners are totally invested in their little piece of heaven. The organization necessary to host their 30th Bluegrass Festival was spot on. This is a 54 acre primitive campground, there are also freestanding homes that can house up to 15 people, and a lodge. A nice pool area along with multiple activities to include horseshoes, corn hole, and petting farm. The dining lodge features daily specials, buffet style for breakfast and dinner. We will return to this campground next year for their 31st Bluegrass Festival. Be aware, there is no internet access

We loved the amenities, especially the live music, pool and hikes. Finding our own place to camp our camper van was a bit overwhelming on a busy Memorial Day weekend holiday but it turned out super well. We found a nice quiet spot under a tree and there were rocks nearby to build a fire pit. We are definitely interested in going back.
