Located less than a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this little hayfield is nestled just a skip away from Mabry Mill (the most photographed spot on the parkway), Villa Appalachia (quant Italian style winery), Chateau Morrisette (larger tourist winery), Nancy's Fudge (a little candy factory and shop), and hiking trails of varying lengths with epic views (Black Ridge Trail and Rock Castle Gorge Trail). Each of these is under 5 miles from our camp spot. Yet, if you are also hoping to hop out of your camper and WALK somewhere, there is a hike that leads you directly up to Chateau Morissette. The property itself is a hayfield that typically has a couple of cuttings each summer. There just happens to be a full hook up campsite located at the edge of the property that someone should be enjoying. The property owner (my dad, who is in his mid 70s and doesn't internet so well) lives in a log home that is across the field on the adjacent property. He is probably going to stop by to say hi. Awesome place to stay! Peaceful. Close to 2 wineries and a coffee shop. My wife and I will be back for sure.

This spot is so beautiful. It’s quiet, private and the views are amazing. There are some great sunset views over the mountains. We only had a couple days to spend here but I could easily see spending much longer. Everything is as described. It’s easy to find and easy to access. We have a 22ft camper and it fit with no issues. Highly recommend!!!

Private Camping Experience
I LOVED how private it was and the beautiful scenery. It was perfect for my family of three and dog. It was nice to be able to escape everyone and enjoy a private nice in the VA mountains!

Absolutely beautiful and well maintained location! We were only there for one night but wish we could have stayed longer. The dining table and firepit area was great. We visited the winery that's down the road. It was a perfect spot to hang out for a couple drinks and they're dog friendly!

Great spot right off the blue ridge
Great spot right off the blue ridge parkway! Easy to find and easy to navigate. Beautiful views tucked in the meadows. Quiet and private. The covered pavilion and deck just enhanced the spot. Perfect for an overnight stay or longer. WiFi worked well and host was friendly and communicative.
