11 acres of horse farm land with 4 rail fencing (no farm animals), surrounded by woods in a country setting with beautiful views and a pond. There are miles of dirt roads surrounding to ride bikes on. Apparently this area is very popular with cyclists, as many of the campers so far have been avid cyclists. We're about 10 minutes to historical downtown Leesburg, Virginia. 1 mile to Stone Tower Winery and Zephaniah Farm Vineyard. There's a gas station 1 mile away and 10 minutes to Walmart, restaurants, outlets and shopping centers. Balls Bluff historical park and other Civil War points of interest are close by and Harper's Ferry, WV is about 40 minutes from here. The opening pictures are of 2-fledgling Bald Eagles that came to visit one day.About This Property 11.5 acre lot with open fields. It has four rail fencing and stone walls surrounded by woods. It's very quiet and private with plenty of wildlife and a nice little pond to enjoy. It's a beautiful country setting...very picturesque. Fantastic camp site with two sites to choose from and plenty of firewood around. Chris was also very easy to talk to and supported our trip in any way he could. Top notch experience.

Great experience at Camp Canterbury! Chris was able to accomodate an early check-in for a modest fee to help us with our travel schedule. He met us as we arrived, gave us a tour, and directed us to the wonderful quiet spot to set up our RV in a side field under some trees. The nights were magical with fireflies EVERYWHERE! Just a perfect respite from some hectic family activities we had during the day. I also had a serious medical emergency during the trip, and Chris was so kind and understanding with us needed to extend our stay. Overall 10/10 stars. Highly recommended!

Great for Gravel Cyclists in Loudon

This is a wonderful spot on one of the many London County gravel roads. Chris, the host, is welcoming and friendly. The spot I parked in is quite private. It’s well off the main road that has very little traffic to begin with. I used it as a base camp to sample the great gravel cycling in London County. It’s really convenient to Leesburg for supplies and great restaurants. All in all I give both the campsite and surrounding area five stars.
