This property was once a 300 acre plus tobacco farm. The original log cabin was built in the 1850s and now serves as our dining room. The front portion of the house was completed in April of 1861 and the back in the early 1900s. We have plans to eventually turn it into a working farm which produces tinctures, salves and extracts of various native plants including hemp. Learn more about this land: Heavily wooded mountain side with flowing creek. Easy access (walking distance) to Jefferson National Forest, National Forest horse trail and the Blue Ridge Parkway. (Note: You cannot drive to the Blue Ridge Parkway as the path is an old forest road which has been gated, but you can walk up to it.) We also have a small, uncovered tree house which is available on a first come, first served basis. Only site 4 is next to the brook. However, the site positions are for the purposes of the listing only. You may camp anywhere on the property. There is plenty of frontage on the creek and several tents can go up there. We also now have a purple bus which is retrofitted as a camper and has a refrigerator, stove and television which is connected to our internet. Enjoyed My Stay

Roni was super responsive with directions and answers to questions. Use of the external power outlet and access to the water hose was a much appreciated bonus.

Not what I was expecting at all. Since a lot of the descriptions said privacy down by the creek, I was hoping for lots of space but the sites were small and very close together and also super close to the house. Didn’t feel very safe and ended up leaving the property to stay somewhere else

Fantastic spot. You can see the stars at night real well and it is far enough away from the city that you get peace and quiet without a lot of light pollution. Roni is super nice and very responsive.
