Site of the old Blackwood Timber Mill, situated on the Bemm River in a very secluded setting and surrounded by State forests. This magnificent property offers camping by the river, fishing, hiking, canoeing, beautiful swimming holes and much more. This area supports an abundance of wild life including Kangaroos, Wombats, Goannas, Samba Deer, Sugar Gliders, Eastern Water Dragons and an amazing amount of bird life. Fire pits available Flushing toilets on siteCamp on the magnificent Bemm River, lots of space to spread out and relax. Crack a Beveridge sit back and listen to the rapids and the abundant bird life. Only 15m to the rivers edge, or 3km to the boat ramp and the local pub.

Peaceful escape
What a beautiful way to finish my road trip. I had a gut feeling when I booked this place.. It certainly delivered. Wayne went above & beyond to make me feel completely welcome. This is a little gem located right on the river. It really is “worth the turn” as the locals say. Wayne is a super host who happily showed us around the property that really is stunning, swimming holes, lovely grassed area for the van, flushing toilet is a bonus. Wayne is very obliging, fire wood and fire pit all sorted, great communicator. 5 stars we had a ball, make sure you call in and say hi to Deb at the local pub and the great crew of locals. Thanks for a great stay. Steve and Heather, we will be back.

Great spot!!! Will be back for sure. Wayne had us on the spot close the river. Great open spot with shade and we could hear the river all night which was amazing. Very welcoming hosts. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property with us.

Trees, birds and fresh air!
Wayne and Maria were great hosts! Beautiful location with lots of trees, birdlife, and water . It was a breath of fresh air. The camp was in a beautiful secluded area surrounded by trees away from the main town. Wayne and Maria made us feel very welcome. can't wait to go back :).
