Shane and his partner are incredibly enthusiastic hosts. Sure you’re camping on their front yard but across the country road, you’re facing and overlooking vast farmland scattered with cows and forest. The area is very quiet and very peaceful. We went for a beautiful afternoon walk into a nearby forest, which is actually part of the Goldfields track- can be done as a small loop back to the property. Shane has a metal fire pit, which we set up and cooked on. Wandering chickens add to the serene rural atmosphere.

Caravan stay with our border collie
We both really relaxed and enjoyed our stay at Shanes place. Camp fires, walks and plenty of wildlife. We would both highly recommend a stay at this location again.

We both really enjoyed staying at Shane's location. The views are stunning, good walking tracks and very peaceful. Shane and his wife were very hospitable and would definitely recommend staying here.

Perfect stay, hosts went above and beyond (I don't want to set expectations, but I got a glass of wine while pitching my tent after a long day's hike!). Great stopover if you're doing the Goldfields Track. 100% recommended.

Camping with animals!
With kids
Shane and his Wife gave us a nice welcome. They showed us their animals, plants and the entire place. They were super friendly! Plus, they offer us to stay in the big shed with sofas and futons, as we arrived extremely late, and it was almost dark. It was a quite place, it was exactly what we were looking for. For sure we will come back during the summer, and maybe even in Winter, as sometimes they have snow.

With kids
Friendly host, good information about the local area and will go out of their way to help. Nice quiet local community with plenty of farm animals for the kids. The camping area for a caravan is not too far from the road and house but worked for us just fine. Would stay again
