Searching for a surfing escape in Victoria? Head to Ingenia Holidays Torquay to soak up the beachside atmosphere at one of Victoria’s best-known surfing locations.
Located less than one kilometer from the Torquay Foreshore, Torquay Beach and The Esplanade, this is one destination best explored on foot, with local shops, cafes and restaurants on the holiday park’s doorstep.
While the coastline might be the main attraction with over 20 beaches and coves to explore in the Torquay region, the holiday park gives you plenty of excuses not to leave with a solar-heated swimming pool, heated spa and landscaped gardens. With mini-golf, giant snakes and ladders, tennis courts, cricket pitch, modern playground and games room – with additional activities to keep the kids entertained through school holidays.
The campsite offers clean and well-maintained facilities with hot showers and friendly staff, making it a comfortable stay for campers. It is conveniently located within walking distance to cafes, beaches, and attractions like the Great Ocean Road. However, some campers found the tent sites challenging due to hard ground and tight parking spaces. Additionally, while the location is central, it might require a bit more walking than expected to reach the beach and town center.
I booked an unpowered site, was given the back corner site which in theory was great but the ground was like hard rock. I could not pitch my tent in my designated area as it was all dirt & hard ground/ rock. Clearly that spot had been a popular spot for van travellers or cars to park but if you are considering allocating a tent camper in number UP6… please tend to the ground & grass before doing so. Sadly I’ve damaged by tent pegs due to this; nonetheless great facilities, clean shower/ bathrooms & great access points.
My wife and I were thrilled with everything at the camp park. We liked that everything had code-key access. While the location is not on the beach, it was very well-placed for cafes and an easy walk to the beach. With public cooking and amenities facilities, this worked well for us. Shower and Toilets where clean and stocked. But also a plus was that the back gate led straight to the craft brewery...👍
Sites were very tight, cars are parked in front of the vans along the road which made hooking up to leave very challenging, had to ask people opposite to move there cars so I could get in & ou. Apart from that the park was good.
