Buffalo River Retreat is a 50 acre property located 15km from Myrtleford on the beautiful Buffalo River. Our property has over 1km of river frontage, perfect for families, groups, couples or the keen fishermen. We have three sites available. Our main site is a large lawn area with rustic shelter, firepit and pit toilet. This site slopes gently down to a beautiful river beach perfect for children of all ages. Our other sites are secluded bush camp areas. By limiting the number of campers you are guaranteed privacy during your stay with us. We have Lake Buffalo, Bright, Mount Buffalo, Mt Hotham and the beautful King Valley Wine region right on our doorstep. Prices: Riverside Camping - $15 adults and $5 children (16 and under) Bush Camps - $10 adults and $5 children (16 and under)

The Pines Bush Camp Area 2
Beautiful property. Ian and Helene welcomed us even though we arrived late at night around 10.30pm. Showed us to our site where firewood was provided with a fire pit. Lovely stream next to site. Saw 3 wombats. Great place to stay.

Riverside Camp Area
We had a very relaxing four nights at Buffalo River. Its a very picturesque well maintained camp site. We will certainly return to this one. Thanks Ian & Helene.

The Pines Bush Camp Area 2
We have just spent 4 wonderful days camping near the river at Buffalo River Retreat, a great spot to stay, relax and explore the surrounding area. Ian and Helene were very welcoming we hope to return in the future.

Rocky River Bush Camp Area
We just enjoyed a wonderful long weekend at Buffalo River Retreat. The spot (one of the bush camps) by the river was exactly what we'd hoped to find and was a spot of solitude on a long weekend! Had a great time relaxing under the trees and swimming in the river. Can't wait to return!
