On 20 acres, covenanted as Land for Wildlife, Boisdale [pron. 'Bwah-Dale', from the French, meaning wood, or forest, valley] there's a permanent creek [the King Parrot] with swimming holes and paddling areas, and access to flat or gently undulating campsites in what must be one of the prettiest valleys in Australia - if not the world, but I am biased. Access is via a 14ft gate entry and ok for caravans being towed by 4WD. Also great for camper trailers, tent campers & swags. High clearance 2WD access is ok. We need campers to be self-sufficient with own amenities. This means own camping toilet and leave no trace. We want you to leave the space how you found it. We are dog friendly as long as they are well controlled. Campfires are permitted as long as restrictions aren't in place. Firewood can be gathered from fallen timber in the vicinity. BYO water. We have rainwater tanks at the house if you need to fill up drinking water in an emergency and access to mains power on application. An expansive open flat grassland, with outlier trees for shade around the boundary, securely fenced with easy access from the gravel road, no hazards for vehicles - park and camp. Creek close by for swimming or fishing; picturesque camp spots inside Landcare precinct; opportunity for walking or bike riding on little used gravel road; plenty of wildlife.

Carver's Flat
Fantastic spot!
Where do I start? From the beginning, Mik was very responsive, answered all my questions promptly and checked in on us when we got there (thru text as he was unwell) Site was easy to get to, flat and great for our mates car which was a 2wd towing a camp trailer. Plenty of firewood and Mik left us some wood which was great. We were the only ones there and that is perfect since we like the serenity. And that meant we were able to spread out and not feel cramped! The creek was a short walk and it was perfect to cool down in and the kids had a ball with lilos and rings. It was shallow enough to make us feel safe for the kids. Up the other end which was maybe 50 meters away, the kids can drop in a line to try for some fish. We caught carp, yellow belly and trout. Also we caught a couple of crays which we didn't expect. We also saw wombats, plenty of bird life, farm animals and Lilla, the resident dog who joined us for some fun. We will be back! Thank you Mik for a fantastic time.

Great camp site
Great camping spot. Nice and flat and easy to get in to. A lovely little walk down to the creek. It was a pity the weather was so cold as it would be nice to sit in the creek on a hot day. The kids enjoyed running around the paddock. We spotted echidna, kangaroo, wombat and a huge stag.

Carver's Flat
Beautiful location, really peaceful with the sounds of native birds and neighbouring farm animals to keep you company. Lots to explore and great fishing in the creek. Michael was very understanding with my nervous rescue dog who had an absolute ball (as did out 5 mth old pup) swimming in the creek, lazing on the bank and exploring with us. Will definitely be back!

Carver's Flat
Our second time at Carvers flat. Very peaceful, quiet, and very relaxing. Plenty of Birdlife, including some eagles souring above, and a wombat meandering his way home after a night out!

Carver's Flat
Lovely peaceful location, with plenty of space to select from. The frogs, birds and nearby cows provide a nice background sound during the day and evenings. Upon arrival we were concerned that it was literally a fenced in cow paddock, but found it to be quite scenic with great views of the nearby hills. Whilst you can hear the creek, access to it (and the plentiful firewood) is a bit awkward due to the farm fencing surrounding the camp area, but there is gate at the far end providing access to a small area of the creek. Despite lots of recent rain, and a damp weekend, the ground was firm, and easy to drive on, with no issues, even for a heavy caravan. Having a small shovel is handy to move any cow patties in the way! Had a great weekend, and will definately be back for another peaceful get away, and to say hello to the very friendly dog.
