This pristine and remote half acre of paradise is nestled between three hard and soft wooded lots set on the farther side of Peacham's Hidden Gem of Martin's Pond. The pond, which houses a Loon sanctuary, is situated on the back side of the expansive Groton State Forest, underneath the Looming Beauty of Devil's Hill.  Remote Camping at its finest, campers will have access to a rustic out house and solar shower, as well as the clean waters of the pond for their use. Two Kayaks, with paddles and adult life vests are available for use on-site. Life jackets must be worn at all times. Please message for details. A small Shed on property can be accessed if dry storage space is needed. Firewood (one bundle & kindling) and fire pit will be provided. If you would like additional firewood during your stay, please use the "add-on" feature and select how many bundles of wood you would like. Pets are also welcome, but please review the pet-deposit under "add-ons."  Campers are expected to bring their own accommodations: Tent, Sleeping Bag, pad, cooking stove/ fuel, etc. For bikers and backpackers, the extensive back roads of Peacham, VT as well as the hiking of Devil's Hill and other parts of Groton State Forrest should provide ample space for discovery. Not to mention the pond itself for boating enthusiasts.  Currently, power and cell service are non existent on the property. Quiet camping generators are not discouraged so long as they are not in use during quiet hours. Just remember that Cell service is SEVERELY limited and you're encouraged to download any media prior to arrival. If at any time you need our assistance the closest signal is the interstate. If you require a more tailored experience, we can make arrangements to meet you at your arrival to ensure a smooth transition to the campsite. Bear that in mind when visiting the pond during peak season periods, and most holidays and weekends.  Motor Boats, Neighboring campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts may also be occupying the environment and The Alcove at Martin's Pond makes no guarantee of the specific degree of remoteness and solitude one may experience while staying at the pond. Typically the lowest trafficked times on the pond are the shoulder months (April- early May/ late September-October, as well as mid-week during Summer months)

The Alcove at Martin's Pond
One of the best spots around!
The spot was beautiful and a great view to wake up to! With the lovely silence and no service it was a much needed refresh for me and my family!

Martins Pond, Oh the Loons!
Martins Pond was a lovely experience from top to bottom. My partner and I got to enjoy the kayaks and take our pup on her first kayak ride! The shed for drying was such an amazing tool to have for when it rains, storing our coolers or drying our clothes. The fire pit was exceptional and the wood supplied was plentiful. Hearing the Loons sing was one of our finer memories. Dan and Brianne were gems as a host! Dan gave us an escort to the campsite so we arrived safe and sound. We would definitely come back!

Loved It! Will Come Back!
This is not just a regular campsite. This is your own little planet in the heart of Vermont. We loved our stay! - You should come if you looking for privacy. We’ve seen/heard our neighbors once, but it’s distant enough not to be bothered. - Campground is huge and very very well thought. It feels that owners walked the grounds and give it a thought on how to make it comfortable. Raised platform for a tent (get your rope or paracord to secure tent stakes), dry storage (plates, firewood is in there), hammock, 2 kayaks, fire pit, benches, 5 gal bucket of drinking water, 2 carts to carry your stuff from parking spot to the campsite, little shovel for a charcoal and fire pit and even a shower bag (sun heated) with shower tent! - Direct access to the beautiful pond with chair. Honestly, it’s so beautiful you can literally sit there for 2 days watching birds and the pond and doing nothing else. - Pond is very clean! Water is a bit chill, but definitely swimmable even on cloudy day. - Loons are magnificent! I didn’t know about that bird before, so I you don’t - search for their calling. If you hear wolves at night - it’s probably loons :) - We stayed for 2 nights and never left a campground. I’m sure there is a lot to see around, but if you are looking for a quaint place to cook/sleep/swim/read for a few days - this is a great choice! - There is a few farm nearby which sell meat. We bought ours beforehand, but might wanna check it out if you’re looking for a steak to grill.

Best camp ever
I loved tent camping on Brianne’s land. It was so clean and a wonderful place. You get private access to Martin’s pond. We swam, kayaked and grilled. The restrooms are very neat and tidy too. Highly recommend.

This is my annual spot now!
I love camping here! Brought some new campers and enjoyed the hike, kayaking some camp fires and food. Brianne is so nice and clear communication! I will always be recommending this spot!
