My wife and I both met while traveling Australia in 2011, towards the end of our travels we both decide to settle in my wife's beautiful home state of Vermont. We purchased this property in 2014 and have slowly been renovating the main home as well as a small cabin on the other side of the property. In 2018 a family member approached us with an idea to host his tiny house on our land and make it available for short term rentals. We have been successfully hosting guests since spring 2019 over on another platform and look forward to opening up this space to the Hipcamp travel community. Our future plans are to make the semi off grid cabin available to hipcampers in late 2021 and a fully of grid cabin in our woods the following year!  Learn more about this land: Set on a hillside overlooking rolling farmland and established sugarbush, with views of the green mountains from Mansfield to Elmore, this bright and modern tiny house offers a getaway in the heart of Vermont. Minutes from Green River Reservoir state park and a short drive to Stowe and Smugglers Notch resorts, come experience the semi off grid tiny house lifestyle with modern amenities and enjoy the best views Vermont has to offer, with proximity to some of the state's most popular attractions. We are a tiny house rental run by a 7th generation Vermont family. Insta : @sunrise_sunset_tiny_house This tiny house on wheels is intended for sustainably-minded individuals and couples. Built for an off-grid experience (with the exception of electricity), the stove and heat run off propane, the water is a self-contained 35 gallon system with an instant hot water heater, and there is a Nature's Head compositing toilet, therefore guests must be open to practicing reduced consumption (biodegradable shampoo and conditioner are provided, please do not bring your own products unless they are eco-friendly). Nevertheless, amenities include smart tv and wifi, a full-sized fridge, and a fully functioning kitchen with gas range and microwave/convection oven, french press, and coffee pot. The queen bed is lofted above the living space and is accessible by a removable ladder. SUSTAINABLY We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact with this listing and our own home. All of our trash bags, dish sponges, soaps, shampoo/conditioner are biodegradable. We use Branch Basics laundry detergent on all the sheets & towels which is non toxic and fragrance free! Many of the products we use in the home such as toilet paper, paper towels and tin foil are either recycled or ethically sourced. Trash, recycling and compost are all taken care of in a responsible manner. Bottle returns are donated to Lamoille Area Cancer Network to help local families and individuals with the financial burden of treatment. SKIING & SNOWBOARDING We are conveniently located 30 minutes from Stowe Mountain resort, 40 min from Smugglers Notch and around an hour to Bolton Vally or Jay Peak resorts. For cross-country skiing we have Craftsbury Outdoor Center located 30 min away with 105 kilometers of groomed trails. HEALTH & SAFETY We take our guests health & safety extremely seriously and maintain the tiny house to the highest standards. The home is equipped with smoke & carbon monoxide alarms along with a fire extinguisher which are all inspected/tested annually. The direct vent propane heater is inspected and serviced annually by a qualified technician. Driveway and pathways are shoveled and sanded in the winter months. NATURE & BUGS The house is located in rural vermont surrounded by nature and trees, so there will be bugs. Ants, wasps, mosquitos, black flies, and ladybugs during spring, summer and fall. They won’t kill you, just bring some bug spray if you want to hang outside and making a fire helps keep them away. WAIVER & RELEASE of LIABILITY: The hosts urge all guests to use the Sunrise Sunset Tiny House's features, facilities and grounds in the safest manner. Use of all features, including but not limited to the use of the ladder, grounds, loft and appliances are done at the guests sole risk. Guests understand that they are fully responsible for use of all features and hosts shall not be liable to guests for any claims related to illnesses, demands, injuries, damages, or actions arising out of or in connection with the misuse of facilities, natural events/disasters or general accidents on facility grounds. Guests choosing to use the firepit agree to do so safely and in accordance with house rules. Guests understand hosts are not to be held responsible for damaged or lost personal property. Guest hereby holds hosts harmless from any/all claims brought against them. Guest understands that by booking a reservation they are effectively agreeing to the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability. GUEST ACCESS During the summer months we cut paths around our fields and have snowshoe trails in the winter, we encourage guest to use both. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS Prioritizing your privacy, we're here to ensure a seamless stay. While respecting your space, we welcome the chance to chat about all things tiny house. Feel free to reach out by phone anytime for questions about the tiny house or local attractions. OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE Vermont is a popular destination for all outdoor enthusiasts including hunters. Although we do not allow hunting on our property it is not uncommon to hear or encounter hunters in the surrounding area. For hikers during hunting season, we recommend wearing a bright orange item for visibility on the trails. Regarding the nightly price, we manage all aspects of this rental space independently to maintain an affordable nightly rate. We ask guests to kindly consider factors like lawn care, snow plowing, general maintenance, heating, AC, fire wood, laundry, internet, electricity, water top-ups, insurance, equipment maintenance, cleaning, taxes, etc., before booking and sharing your review. Although our town roads and driveway are well maintained in the winter months, we do advise guests to have winter tires or a AWD/4x4 vehicle at the least. We are not responsible for travel difficulties resulting from winter storms or other events outside of our control. The purchasing of travel insurance is a great way to protect yourself from such events.

Sunrise Sunset Tiny House
This place is absolutely stunning! When we arrived all we wanted to do was be outside what a view, truly a place where you will find relaxation and can just enjoy nature and some tranquility. The Host was very attentive and paid attention to detail. My husband drove off with a new friend from Vermont. Thank you Michael, you were wonderful!!

Tiny slice of paradise!
Cutest place in such a stunning location. Super private and secluded yet in close proximity of everything you need such as grocery stores, takeout options, dining in, etc. Highly recommend booking this whether it be a couple's weekend trip or solo getaway! ALSO - you must try Pizza On Main in Morrisville, just about 5-10 min. drive away from then tiny home. The food is SO good and super friendly staff.
