We have an authentic sugar shack nestled on a 100 plus acre property that hosts fields, streams and mountain forests. We offer great views plenty of quiet off grid glamping experiences. We are offering a bed and breakfast set up. Which provides a hot or cold breakfast to you door, we will even pack it to go for an early morning adventure. There is a complete picnic area with gas grill, and burner ( with pots, pans, tea kettle, coffee press and utensils) if you like to cook. There is a small library, chess back gammon, cards and dominoes. There are plenty of miles of dirty roads to explore mountain biking or hiking. The white river is near by for fly fishing, kayaking, canoeing and tubing. There is a private fire pit area to sip a cocktail, enjoy a s’more or just relax on the couch and experience the firefly’s. There is also plenty of water at our two water stations and a private out house for your cabin. We are less than an hour away from some of the best VT tourist spots.Check in at the house and request your breakfast preferences. Take a short ride to your field access and then a short walk to your private sugar shack glamping experience. You will enjoy a comfy queen size bed with limited off grid solar power and all the comforts of home. There is no wifi so unplug and enjoy the view. Great place to chill and unwind from the rat race . There is a small library, chess/checkers and cards for a lazy day stay , a hammock for a nap after your busy day exploring. We are located on a VT country road great for mountain bikes to explore. There are great local farmers markets and restaurants to try. Not far from Woodstock, Quechee, Montpelier and Killington . We offer a full breakfast hot or cold to start your day off fueled for fun . We can even pack it to go if you’d like ( picnic style). Come and enjoy our slice of Vermont, you will be glad you did !

We absolutely loved our time on Lori's property and would definitely come back! There were so many small touches that made our stay extra comfy and special. We especially loved the breakfast and exploring the local spots that Lori recommended.

You should stay here.
Lori is an incredible host, and her land is stunning! The Sugar Shack is adorable, cozy, and comfortable, and every possible amenity was thought of (from firewood to marshmallows to books and games). On top of all that, breakfast was absolutely delicious. We didn't want to leave, and will be back! 10/10

Homestead Sugar Shack
It was awesome. Plain and simple. You can’t get that type of secluded area for that price. The breakfast Lori made for us each morning was absolutely terrific. She and her husband Drew are extremely responsive if there’s an issue yet gives you your space if you need nothing. Prob will be going back again next year.

Lori and Drew's property is simply breathtaking. Its off the beaten path location supplied us with complete privacy without being difficult to access. The constant sounds of the Vermont wilderness were therapeutic to say the least (we brought a speaker but found ourselves, more often than not, listening to the birds and the rustling of the leaves that make up the canopy that looms over the cabin). Despite the fact that we ate many wonderful meals during out trip to Vermont, we always looked forward to Lori's breakfast the most. On our short 3 night trip, we were able to visit Hanover, Norwich, Woodstock, Killington, and Rutland; all of which are within an hour of Lori and Drew's slice of heaven. This was my first Hipcamp trip and since leaving, I'm already planning my next one. Safe to say that the Sugar Shack left a lasting impression but will certainly be a tough act to follow.
