Welcome to Walden, our 26 acres is surrounded on three sides by the Steam Mill Brook Wildlife management area. The pristine Coles pond is just across the road, perfect for kayaking, swimming, canoeing. In June hundreds of lady slippers appear, pink, white and even a few very rare yellow ones. Enjoy the feeling of being nestled in a moss covered forest.

The Glade
Great, private area of land where we felt free. Cole’s pond is across the street, and we hung out by the boat launch for some great views and swimming. My only complaint is that the site has changed since they uploaded the photos. They added a big structure which helped keep stuff dry. There are a couple abandoned RV’s on the property, and some clutter, but still a beautiful wooded area. Will most likely be booking again next summer.

Be careful following google maps
We were coming from the east, from St. Johnsbury, VT, and Google sent us up a road that turned into a creek bed! Don't go that way. We did get in contact with the host, who sent us better directions--make sure you come through Walden from the west of Coles Pond Rd. However, we lost service and never did actually find the campsite. The host refunded us, so that was nice.

Nice camping spot
My group really enjoyed camping here and watching the solar eclipse. The owners are nice and friendly and we made things work even with a ton of snow on the ground.
