Dan found this special place back in 1996. We didn’t move on site until 1999 and still haven’t build our dream home. The years were full of raising our four daughters on this beautiful property. The girls had horses, enjoyed snowmobiles, four wheeling, ice skating, kayaking, sliding parties, camping, picking wild berries and playing in the woods. We had a Christmas tree farm and enjoyed sharing the property and horses with our customers. We now enjoy all this with our two grandsons. It seems only right to share what we have been so blessed to enjoy all these years with others. Learn more about this land: Park your RV or pitch your tent and take some time to relax. Take a walk through the woods, take your kayak out on Otter Creek starting at the base of our driveway or relax with a campfire. Visit Blazer or ring the humongous bell, and check out the wildlife. Do you have a dog? Enjoy the freedom of letting it run and play in the small ponds in the woods. You are most likely to hear the train whistle a time or two. Melinda’s campsite was everything you want for a quiet peaceful night. You could see every single start and hear the calming chirps of crickets through the night. She was a wonderful host and had a fire ready to go for us before we got there! Very thoughtful great communication! A beautiful place to watch the sunrise, will definitley be coming back!

The most beautifully maintained site! We arrived late at night but found the campsite very easily and built a fire in the supplied fire ring and enjoyed the stars. In the morning we took our dogs for a walk with the horses and it was so amazing

Beautiful, peaceful, easy to get to site. Dan and Melinda were gracious, accommodating hosts. And their horses were wonderful neighbors. Our two dogs loved it too!

I’ve stayed here numerous times, and will continue to whenever I’m in the area—though word is definitely out that this is one of the best sites on Hipcamp and Melinda and Dan are among the best hosts you could hope to have. Like everyone else who’s reviewed this wonderful place, I have zero complaints and zero recommendations for how it could be improved. Is there anything like that in your life?! I can’t think of anything else in mine.

Serene camping
Nice and simple car camping spot! Super close to Middlebury and only an hour from Burlington, makes it the perfect spot. Huge site, picnic table, fire pit and outhouse, Melinda and Dan even brought us some extra chairs for the site too! Perfect spot for campers who enjoy privacy and don't need a shower.
