A must stay!!!
This was one of the best experiences I've had camping before. We traveled 8 hours from New York and would do it again in a heartbeat. Donald was an amazing host. He always helped out and was awesome at providing anything we needed. We brought our 10 month old puppy and he had the best time playing with Donald's dog, Luna who is an angel. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The camping sites are all amazing. We stayed at the first one and it was perfect and had everything we needed. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend. Newport is a cute town to check out it has a health food store with good food and there's an also a cool consignment shop called rad rags. The hikes were beautiful and overall was just a stunning place to visit. We thank Donald for making the stay comfortable and welcoming. Couldn't have asked for a better host. See ya next year! - Niya

Maple Grove Camp
I was so impressed by how responsive and accomodating Don was. I had booked a regular tent site, but Don upgraded me to the lean-to since no one was in it and the forecast said rain all day. Every last detail planned out: firewood, kindling, camp dishes, water for boiling. Don even has a wagon he clips onto the fourwheeler to help you get your stuff to the site! The camp was private, peaceful, and just what I needed after the first week back to school as a teacher. Best part is having the dog offleash all weekend. She was very happy to sniff around the woods.

Meadow Camp Cabin
We LOVED our time camping at Donald’s! We celebrated our civil union and the 3rd birthday of Collie, Rose! Donald and his lovely dog Luna were fantastic hosts and very accommodating! We really enjoyed their company and had lots of fun hanging out! Everything at camp is very well thought out, and what a beautiful place! The place lives up to the name Froggy Acres; there are so many frogs, and we loved watching them at the little pond at our campsite and the big pond! We had an incredibly relaxing time! We cannot wait to return, and we look forward to returning in the next few months! We highly recommend camping at Donald and Luna’s!

July 2024 - Great Place To Stay!
We had a wonderful stay! Don and his dog Luna are great hosts. Don offered a hand getting to and from our site and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. The property is an oasis nestled in the mountains of Vermont. The location is great for exploring Newport City and the surrounding area!

Creekside Camp
Don was a generous host. He was attentive to ensuring a good arrival and comfortable stay. Camping on my own can feel intimidating but I felt safe and comfortable. He supplied wash water in a tapped jug, and firewood. He helped bring my stuff to and from my car to the campsite. There was an outhouse with TP and hand sani located at the shelter site. I was able to navigate the road safely with my VW Golf though I did appreciate a lift from Don my second time in because the road hadn't gotten its annual grading yet. The sound of the frogs at night was beautiful and soothing. I would absolutely come back to Froggy Acres if I return to the NEK!

Maple Grove Camp
Very friendly host and dog. The place was clean and as described in the photos. Good place to crash for the night, being close to Newport, but I didn't stay long enough to hike around and find out. Instructions were clear to get to the site and he was responsive when I did get lost. Road was a sketchy on my motorcycle, but he warned us and offered a shuttle in and out of the place. Even went as far to offer his truck for us to grab dinner instead of riding up and down the road. The road was beaten up by heavy rain and a neighbors culvert broke, so nothing in his control. He was honest and offered help. Would go back.
