We’ve moved to a beautiful new location in the Mettowee Valley of Vermont, with 125 acres of fields and forest, 7 acres of u-pick blueberries, a spring fed pond, the Mettowee River for swimming, and of course our many rescued farm animals who love attention ❤️. Only min from Granville, NY, the colored slate capital of the world, 30 min from Manchester, and 20 min from Dorset. When you book with us, you help us care for our rescued farm animals, and continue our mission to rescue and offer sanctuary to more animals in need. This site was absolutely lovely. I stayed with our two young kiddos and they loved the yurt! All the beds were comfortable. The additional deck overlooking the pond has a grill too, which can be convenient for those without camping gear. The site has good shade for the summer and I was surprised of how few mosquitoes we encountered! As for the activities, the animal sanctuary is lovely and provides a great experience for young kiddos. The pond is big enough to kayak, swim and fish. Life vests were also provided. I have already recommended this to friends with kids and will absolutely try to come back!

We had such a great time staying here and would highly recommend it. It's a really beautiful location and it was an incredible experience. We loved being able to pet the animals and hear more about the animal sanctuary. We really loved the goats especially. We loved the yurt that we stayed in and the small lake next to it is really serene. The hosts are super nice and are really doing something special by helping these animals.

Get your glamp on!
Loved everything about our stay here! It's a beautiful private spot that the Yurt sits on, complete with a deck overlooking the pond, kayaks and campfire spot. Our beds were all very comfortable and the wood stove was perfect to take the edge off our early spring visit. There are little extra touches about the yurt to give that comfy rustic feel. Erika was a wonderful host and it was a pleasure to get to chat a bit with her. Looking forward to future visits and getting to stay a bit longer.

Beautiful Yurt Stay
Wonderful stay at the yurt. Erika was so helpful and her and her husband were amazing hosts! The property is perfect, private and a short walk to visit the animals. We came with our kids for a 2 night stay for the eclipse. We’ll be back (sans kids 😆) so we can enjoy the yurt even more!
