Champlain Valley Alpacas and Beef is a family farm owned and operated by the Foshay family since 1998.  Our girls, Gracie and Olivia are grown now.   Gracie is married to Jaron and they live in Alabama. Olivia is a nurse and currently is living at home which is a huge blessing to Mom and Dad. Our herd of alpacas once was shown successfully in the Eastern States, now mostly range on the farm, having sweet cria (babies), growing magnificent fiber and effortlessly entertaining throngs of wedding guests! Our beef herd, comprised of Black and Red Angus, Hereford and Belted Galways has fluxuated as the market and hay supplies demand. We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks.  This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company.  We are happy to share this land and  our gentle creatures with you. Learn more about this land: We are a working Alpaca and Beef farm in Central Vermont. Our cottage is available in the spring, summer and fall to Airbnb guests. Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. Hiking, xc-skiing (bring your own) and The Vast (Snowmobile)trails are also nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.

Alpaca Glamping Cottage
Perfectly peaceful weekend away
We (two humans and a dog) had never "glamped" before and expected to be roughing if at least a little. Instead we were comfy and warm with lots of room to spread out inside the homey cottage and acres of peaceful scenic views outside. Our favorite part: waking up to see alpacas roaming directly outside our window. Les and Jenny were excellent hosts - friendly and accommodating, and such lovely people! We felt like we were staying with friends.

Jenny and Les' property was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my pup! I was able to work from the cottage with the wifi (video calls and everything!), and even though it was late March, the space heaters kept me more than comfortable. The property is beautiful, and the alpacas are adorable. Would highly recommend visiting!

Cozy and private cabin
The cabin was very clean and cozy, it is a cute place and hanging out with the Alpacas was awesome. We visited in early spring, there was a space heater and Les got the pellet stove going in the evening, the cottage was very warm. Les and Jenny were both kind and accommodating, and the property was easy to find. We would definitely return! A small note that the bathroom didn't have running water during the winter, so you would have to be alright with minimal bathroom amenities. During the other seasons there is a working sink, toilet and shower within the cabin!

Cozy winter base camp
We had a cozy time at Les and Jenny's. We are campers through and through so staying here felt quite luxurious! The pellet stove and heaters kept the place super warm even with temps in the teens overnight. Having a fridge made grabbing food and microwaving quick meals easy. We brought our own water knowing it was shut off for the winter but bottled water was provided as well. We loved greeting the alpacas in the morning - they were very friendly.

Alpaca Champlain Glamp!
The cottage was toasty, comfy, and beautiful! We had so much fun! Being around the alpacas, Mouzer the cat, and Addie the Lab was a delight! Les and Jenny clearly wanted us to have a great stay. They even brought out Addie's brand new puppies for my wife and our 3rd grade daughter to snuggle. We will cherish the memory of this place always. The views were stunning, and getting to stroll down the road and unplug was heaven. Thank you Les and Jenny!

The cottage was very warm and cozy even during winter in Vermont. Great location between the Green mountains and the Adirondacks!
