Seabase's water was visited by the pioneers on the way to California, and then was owned by Grantsville City as a "swimming hole", and now is a SCUBA and snorkeling resort.& event locationn. Camping and events happen, and sometimes there would be no one here but you and the caretakers, sometimes a lot of people. There are 20 acres to dry camp, so getting back away from traffic, or close to the water are options.

A fab spot! Linda was so friendly and helpful. The site was clean and we loved feeding the fish with Christine in the morning. Recommend this spot.

Great place to stop by for couple of night. Very close to Salt lake but still far enough 😜. Host Linda is great and I’ve definitely enjoyed our chat! Also night sky is absolutely stunning even with a small light pollution from nearby town. We definitely will stay there again if its on our way.

This place is fascinating! Linda and the other site staff such as Kris were really friendly and helpful. Getting to see fish swimming/ feeding in the middle of the desert was a once in a lifetime experience for me. Lots of space around where we pitched our tent and a nice view of the mountains.

Such a cool site! Very secluded, even on site, but not far from the closest town. Linda was very kind and knowledgeable, and I was instantly at ease as a solo traveler. My time here was pretty windy and made a tent less than ideal, but a car or camper would be great!

Seabase SCAMPS

Although the pools were closed to swimmers it was still a delight to see the fish and wander around the perimeter. The hostess was gracious and lovely and answered all of our questions in regards to her history with the property and scuba diving. I really enjoyed our time in the scamp!
